1.2 Port Road Drainage Project The Project has made good progress along the median and will commence to cross the intersection of Woodville and Port Road on Friday 13 April 2018 at 6pm. During this time one lane will be restricted in each direction, and Port Road may be restricted to two lanes at various times. The works have been scheduled in accordance with DPTI approved timelines and have been timed to coincide with school holidays. Generally there is less traffic flows on the road at this time, and this should minimise disruption to commuters, residents and businesses in the vicinity of these works. As with the previous major crossings of Old Port Road, West Lakes Boulevard and Findon Road, the works will be conducted on a day/night basis, and weather permitting all lanes at the Woodville Road intersection will be open for traffic on Thursday 19 April 2018 at 6am. Always mindful of retaining as many trees as possible, the Project has been successful in working around the Corymbia Maculata at the intersection of Woodville Road and Port Road to ensure their survival and safety. The landscaping of the median is in constant progression, and residents and commuters should begin to see landscaping work from High Street to Chippenham Street Cheltenham in the coming days.

1.3 Ask Charlotte - Facebook Messenger Chatbot On Wednesday 11 April we launched Ask Charlotte, Charles Sturt’s new automated chatbot service. Charlotte conveniently provides quick answers to common questions about waste collection and verge mowing, right from Facebook Messenger. To get started, visit www.facebook.com/askcharlottebot and click Send Message. Charlotte is an artificial intelligence bot, so she will continually learn through her interactions. Charlotte is still in beta (a testing phase), so users may occasionally find bugs or receive strange responses. We'll be keeping an eye on the interactions for any issues and will address them as they come up. If you become aware of any issues please let us know. At the moment, Charlotte can only answer queries around waste collection and verge mowing, but we hope to expand her capabilities in the future. We will soon be introducing the ability to sign up to receive Messenger alerts on topics like emergency communications, Major Project updates and more. Feel free to have a play around and see what you think. If you've got any feedback, or ideas for future functionality, we'd love to hear them. For more information, visit www.charlessturt.sa.gov.au/askcharlotte Lauren Christensen, Social Media Advisor, on 8408 1111 or [email protected]
