ISO14001 is international standard of environmental management system. ISO14001:2015 version is offically published in

09/2015 and each organization must change to approval of new version within 3 years.

Environmental management system of SRV was sucessfully changed from ISO14001:2004 to ISO14001:2015 in 10/2016.

We performed one training course for

environmental staffs and internal auditors.

Because of there are alot of changes between

ISO14001:2015 and its old version. Purpose of

training is environmental staffs and auditors

can be awareness of changes and apply to

current environmental as well as can evaluate

the conformance of system with

ISO14001:2015's requirementsTrainor comes from BSI VN

Happy when receiving environmental

To ensure environmental management system is always suitable,maintained and improved, every year the company performsenvrionmental internal audit with attandance of all divisions andcertified auditors. Auditting content is document control and onsiteaudit. 2016 Year internal audit lasted 26 hours with 14 non-conformities and 24 re-commendations. This is good chance for alldivisions to review thier activities and continously improve.

Yearly, SRI makes environmental management

system evaluation of all factoties including SRV. In

2016 Year, findings are 1 Minor NC and 6 RCs, 1

SFI.

LRQA performed certificate renewal and change to

approval of ISO14001:2015. Auditor found out 1 Minor

NC relates to machine maintainance and 17 re-

commendations. After correcting this Minor NC, we

received certificate of ISO14001:2015 and effective date

from 05/12/2016 to 04/09/2019.

Environment improvement

In 2017, SRV set environment targets such as saving electric, reducing waste, reducing organic solvent amount... In

order to achieve those targets, it needs the effort and cooperation from all SRV members to use economically and

give improvement ideas.

One of the biggest electric consumption is air

conditioners (loading 26.1% of SRV electric

consumption total). In 2016,2017 SRV installed

cooling system by water steam for Press room

instead of using AC to save electricity, reduce

smell and reduce hot temperature which creates the

better working environment for workers.

The current capacity of these 2 cooling systems:

wind input is about 82,000m3/h and hot spring,

smell output is about 55,000m3/h

Saving electric action for air compressor machines

Air compressor MCs consume a high amount of electricity. after installing

monitoring system, measuring air compression, we found out No 1 and No 2

air compressor's capacity were falling down due to running time was too

long (over 10 years since 2006). therefore, we substitued No 5 (inverter type)

for No 1 and set up output air compression at suitable value in order to save

electricity and reduce air leakage.

Besides, you all figure out air leakage at your working area by hanging on

cards at leakage places, writing on checksheet and contacting with

Engineering Dept for repairing.

In SRV, water is used mainly for cooking, hands washing,sanitation, tree watering. Water which is used for production isonly contain a small amount,mainly for cooling, rubber washing.Therefore, saving water action concentrates on using waterreduction, especially for washing hands at canteen.In 2017, SRV installed 16 inducing faucets at canteen to savewater when washing handsHowever, when you see wherever water is leaking in factory,please contact with Engineering Dept. immediately for repairing.

Noise reduction action

At some areas which have high noise such as PF airblowing area,Feed cutting area, we isolated byaluminium partition with spongy and PVC. after that,noise at those areas was reduced under 85dBA. however,workers there still should wear ear protection to protectauditory.

Cool air

The principle of this cooling system: the air goes through a wet

filter. At this filter, air is refrigerated and cleared dust after that

goes into the room through piping system and vent hole at each

working place.

The advantage of this system: it is suitable for areas which have

smell and hot temperature. running and maintenance expense only

cost 1/10 in comparison with AC

Training activities

Training is one of main activities of company to high up professtional knowledge, skill and social awareness as

environment protection... for whole of employees.

At the coming time, new comers will be trained about company rules, safety, fire fighting and environment

knowledge... Within 3 days only but the new comers must catch explained knowledge to can approach job well and

together contribute to develope company more and more.

Chemical safety training

This is yearly training activity to provide safety knowledge for operators when working with hazardous chemicals as

transportation, storage and using. And when happening chemical accident as leakage, flow out... operators can

immidiately inform to related person and carry out accident dealing method. Besides, the training is also provide

first aid skill when unfortunately getting effects of over-exposure as eye contact, skin contact, inhalation, ingestion.

In 04/2017, the company cooperated with

training company trained for 60 members the

chemical safety knowledge and skill. After

lesson, all members did test and gave

certificate for 3years.

.When moving, keeping and using chemicals, there are always 3 abnormalities: leakage, pouring and burning.

therefore to train skill to deal with these abnormalities, SRV took place training for all members who are working

hazardous chemicals in July, 2017. the training has 150 members, divided into 3 times.

With the strongly development of Industry, many factories are built up in every corners. with the ambition of

economical development along with environment protection, Japanese enterprises which are building and running in

Vietnam, give out environment protecting activities and business strategy.

One of CSR activities which SRV has been implementing to distribute to protect Vietnam environment is planting

and presenting trees.Only small action : planting trees, no throwing waste, we hand in hand distribute in keeping our and next generation

environmentLet us do that.

On Mar 21.2017, 30 new workers and some officers collected waste on 2 km industrial zone main street from sub

main gate to the end corner of HP Industrial zone. fromt that we see that there are so much waste on the way we go

everyday. bread cover, water bottle,...are everywhere. therefore don't throw waste everywhere, put them into dust

bin which helps our way clearer.

In SRV, please divide waste right from beginning: waste has commercial value (paper, carton, nylon, plastic, iron..),

harazdous waste (chemical clout, lamp, chemical bottle,...) industrial waste has no commercial value (redundant,

rubber dust, abrasive paper,....

Every year, on Tet lunar year and big holidays such as International Woman Day, Vietnam women day... SRV

celebrates planting and presenting tree activity. Planted trees are diversified, from wooden trees such as Acacia

mangium, Magnolia, Delonix regia, osaka...to flowers such as Euphorbia pulcherrima, rose and Bonsai trees such as

read-leaf tree...

With desire for all SRV members to have mutual affection as well as create green to protect environment, planting

tree activity always have so many people to participate in eagerly and happily. each year, SRV garden is widened

with so many trees. Sometimes, in break time, we go to visit garden to breath Magnolia fragrancy and feel the fresh

air.

After a period of transplanting in SRV garden, we present trees for local schools. In 2016, SRV presented 30

wooden trees and fruit trees for Tan Tien primary school. With this meaningful activity, we hope future green seed

will plant trees to protect environment.
