My name is Melissa and I'm from Guatemala, I don't have any religious beliefs though Ifeel a connection towards philosophy. I'm into music, pop genre, also I have an interestcultures around the world but have a stronger affection for Asian languages and culture(specifically: Korean, Japanese and Chinese), I consider myself a 'world' person, andeven though I still lack proper 'people skills' (that is I consider myself more of a introvertthan a extrovert). I'm always eager to learn something new, I consider my way ofthinking to be somewhat unique, as I take what I learn each day and try to adequate itinto my own code.
Try to participate in class discussions, and accept any positive or negative feedback towards my way of thinking about the given issue so I can correct my faults and nurture my knowledge further.
IV. List a quote, novel, or movie that deeply influences you. Why?
I have a long list of quotes that inspires me, I'm going to list two, the first one is: ' Smile in whatever you do, you can't really smile in the end, if you haven't smiled all the way through' this influences to do my very best, and never fall into despair, that comes hand-in-hand with the second one: 'If plan A doesn't work, don't worry about it there are 26 more letters ' so if any plan goes bad, there's always a solution, so never give up on yourself and don't underestimate your own ability to follow-through.
V. Please express anything you want to share.
I believe that every individual in this planet is different, but there is 'something' that unifies them as a part of a culture, so I want to learn how to distinguish that, so when I interact with people of different backgrounds I don't come out as rude or disrespectful towards who they are.
I have my way of thinking, my own beliefs and my own goals, and I believe that actions speak louder than words, for what I feel that I don't have to explain the 'why' do I do things the way I do, because in the end everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are, and I want to inspire people in a way that when somebody look at me will say "Because of you I didn't give up".
