1. Introduction
M/s. Vijayasri Chemicals is located at Plot NO.42, in SVCIE, Jeedimetla,
Rangareddy District in Telangana. The unit was established in March
1998. Copy of sale deed is enclosed as Annexure I. The unit obtained
CFE of the Board and CFO vide letter no:
APPCB/10076/HYD/JDM/52/HO/CFO/2013-2274 dated 06.07.2013 to
manufacture Intermediates called Trimethyl Orthovalerate, Trimethyl
Orthobutyrate, Trimethyl Orthoproplonate & 2-Butyl 4-Chloro 5-
Formylimidazole with a capacity of 4.74 TPM. Copy of CFO of the Board is
enclosed at Annexure II. The unit obtained CFE for Change of product
mix in 2014. Copy of the same is enclosed as Annexure III.
As the unit is drug intermediate category and not covered under 1994 EIA
notification, EC requirement was not there and hence not taken.
In order to meet the market demand it is proposed to expand the
production Capacity from 4.74 TPM to 53.0 TPM

3.5 Wastes generation and control systems
3.5.1 Liquid Effluents
As detailed in table 4.0 waste water generation after expansion would be
50.6 KLD. It is proposed to segregate effluents into high COD and High
TDS stream and Low COD and Low TDS streams
High TDS and High COD stream would be treated in stripper followed by
MEE and ATFD. The resultant sludge would be disposed to TSDF,
Hyderabad. The Low TDS stream would be treated along with MEE/ATFD
condensates in biological ETP followed by RO. The RO rejects would be fed
back to MEE. The Permeate from RO would be used for cooling tower
make up. Thus the treatment system proposed is based on “Zero Liquid
Discharge” (ZLD) Concept
The schematic diagrams of ETP proposed are given in Figure 1.1 and

TSDF facility is about 30 Kms from the site in RangaReddy District which
is created for catering the industries in this area. Transport of Hazardous
wastes to TSDF is done by Ramky. In case other hazardous wastes,
authorized recyclers will transport the wastes

5.0 Planning in Brief
The project is envisaged to be completed by September 2015 and the
production shall be initiated thereon. Consultants are identified for
preparing the detailed project report.
6.0 Resource requirements 6.1 Power Requirement and Supply/Source
The total power requirement is 500 KVA. It shall be sourced from
TSCPDCL and D.G sets as alternative to Power failure.
6.2 Production facilities , Utilities and effluent handling facilities
There will not be any additions to production facilities for expansion as
existing infrastructure is sufficient. Utilities and ZLD facilities for proposed
expansion is given in the table below

6.3 Land Requirement
The unit currently has 4939.8 Sq.mtrs of land and out of which 926
sq.mtrs of green belt is developed. Below table provides the land
statement. Detailed site lay out plan is given at Figure 1.5

7.0 Air Pollution
The Sources of air emissions from the plant are 1x 5.0 TPH coal fired
boiler.
The process emissions from the second phase contain SO2, HCl, HBr and
CO2. HCl, SO2 & HBr emissions are scrubbed with caustic lye and
scrubbed waste is send to MEE. The other gases expected in the process
are carbon dioxide, which are let out into the atmosphere.
Below Table gives current & proposed emission sources from the plant.
