4 Starting the Game

If you activate StreetPass, yourplanet's name will be transmitted toanyone who receives a letter fromyou, so please do not use personallyidentifying information or languagethat others might find offensive inyour planet's name.

To protect your privacy, do not giveout personal information such as lastname, phone number, birth date,age, school, e-mail, or homeaddress when communicating withothers.

Tap the Touch Screen on the titlescreen to proceed to the main menu.

You can explore with your formee orgive them special actions, take 3Dphotos, take AR Card photos, andexchange QR Code images(p. 9-12).

Your game is automatically saved atcertain points, such as after creatingor confirming edits to a formee orpiece of scenery, or when you finishexploring.

7 Creating Formees

Use the shop catalogue to buy newforms and view your guests, friends,and other formees as you create newones. Friend formees can beobtained while exploring (p. 9), whileguest formees are added viaStreetPass (p. 14) or QR Codeimages (p. 12). Touch BUY afterselecting a locked friend to unlock itand obtain its forms.

Formees that havwings can flthrough the sky. Iyou touch the upphalf of the ToucScreen whilexploring with a winged formee, itwill take off and fly in that direction,following your stylus. When yourexploring formee takes fl ight, ameter appears on the 3D Screen andstarts to decrease. Your formee willfall when it runs out. The meterreplenishes when the formee is backon the ground or pops a balloon.

When your exploring formee is inwater, touch around th to swimin that direction. Formees with finscan swim freely through the water foras long as they like. Formeeswithout fins can only swim for alimited amount of time, so be sure tokeep an eye on the meter thatappears on the 3D Screen and startsto decrease when they'reunderwater. If it runs out, yourformee will start moving very, veryslowly. The meter can be replenishedby going back to the surface orpopping a bubble.

Saving a Formee and itsQR Code to an SD Card

Select SAVE TO SCARD to save onof your formees aan image that can bviewed using thNintendo 3DS Camera application.(Use the arrows on the Touch Screento select a background for animage.) To generate a QR Code toaccompany an image, make sure theQR Code setting is enabled thenselect SAVE. When the QR Codesetting is on, you will see a QR Codenext to the formee on the 3DScreen.

Guests can be saved onto an SDCard in the same way your ownformees can be saved. TouchGOODBYE to erase a selected guest.You can have up to 120 guests at atime; if you exceed 120 guests, newguests will replace older ones,starting with the oldest.

Note: Guests you have marked asfavourites will not be deleted in thisway. You can have a maximum of 60favourite guests.

Photos can be saved onto an SDCard the same way your formees andguests can be saved. Select ERASEto erase a photo. You can have upto 30 photos at a time; if youexceed 30 photos, new photos willreplace older ones, starting with theoldest.

Note: Photos you have marked asfavourites will not be replaced in thisway. You can keep a maximum of 15favourite photos.

14 Using StreetPass

If your Nintendo 3DS system getsclose to another Nintendo 3DSsystem that has this game'sStreetPass feature activated, yoursystems will automatically send andreceive content that has beenselected to be shared. As eachparticipant elects whether or not toshare content, this interaction maynot take the form of a direct one-for-one exchange.

This software supports features suchas rankings, data swapping, etc. viaStreetPass (local wirelesscommunication).To communicate using this feature,all players must activate StreetPassfor this software.

Note: Any formees you send couldbe modified and/or re-distributed byother users.

To choose whacontent to send viStreetPass, selecCONNECT from thmain menu and thenselect StreetPass. You can set yourformees, guests, and photos to besent at random, or choose what youwant to send. Sending something toanother player's world doesn't meanit vanishes from yours. Your formeescan visit other planets yet still be onyours, ready to explore wheneveryou are.

15 Formees Together

You can enjoy creating and sharingformees based on your own themeswith your friends, even if they don'thave their own copy ofFREAKYFORMS DELUXE: YOURCREATIONS, ALIVE! Up to fourplayers can participate. One playermust have a copy of the software.

Note: Formee themes are onlyavailable if sharing images, audio,video and long text data is notrestricted by Parental Controls andall players select YES whenprompted to allow themes.

One player acts as the host. Thehost should select CONNECT,FORMEES TOGETHER, confirm ifthemes are allowed, and then HOST.

For other players with acopy of the game:

1. Select CONNECT, FORMEESTOGETHER, confirm if themes areallowed, and then SEARCH.

For players without a copyof the game:

1. Select DOWNLOAD PLAY from theHOME Menu.

2. Select Nintendo 3DS.3. Select FREAKYFORMS DELUXE,

then wait for the host to start thedownload.

2. Select JOIN and then wait for thehost to confirm.

The host then chooses which playerswill join in the session and a playerwill be chosen to write a message togive the formee creation a theme.

1. The host should select REJECT toexclude players.

2. The host should touch START tobegin the session.

3. If themes are allowed, therandomly selected player shouldwrite a formee theme and theneverybody can get creative!

When all formees are done, playerscan each choose to save their QRCode images and a photo of all theformees together before startinganother session.

Formees and images created in

Formees Together could be modifiedand/or re-distributed by other users.Please do not include anything inyour themes or formees that mightmake others uncomfortable, givesaway personal information orinfringes on others' rights.
