Beginning High School

High school is the final transition into adulthood and the world of work as students begin separating from parents and exploring and defining their independence

Students are deciding who they are, what they do well, and what they will do when they graduate

School Counselors

Will work with students using assessments such as the EXPLORE, PLAN, and ASVAB and work with then in computer labs to help students set academic and career goals and determine which career pathway and major is best for them.

Career Pathways

Professional – students who plan to attend 4 or more years of college

Skilled – students who plan to attend a technical or associate degree program

Entry – students who plan to go to work immediately after high school

beyond high school Today’s jobs require high level skills Voc Tech schools expect students to already

have high level knowledge in MATH, SCIENCE and ENGLISH
