But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

• Decisão pela vida santa (Heb. 12.14.)

A santificação é imprescindível para a frutificação.

No V.T. Deus exigia santidade do povo (Lev. 20.7).

Hoje, concedeu-no-la e requere-a de nós (I Ped. 1.2)

• Vida devocional activa• Jejum – No V.T. o povo jejuava por várias razões:

a) Para honrar ocasiões especiais (Jl 2.15; Jr 36.9

b) Pedir livramento de Deus (Zac 8.19)

c) Demostrar o lamento e o arrependimento pela desobediência contra o Senhor ((JZ 20.26; I Sm 7.6)

d) Expressar humildade diante de Deus (Lv 16.29; Sl 69.10)

e) Buscar a direção do Senhor ( Ex 34. 28; II Cr 20.3,4)

(II Cr 15.7; Ef 5.19)

O amor é o solo onde são cultivadas todas as virtudes espirituais.É a principal virtude no fruto do Espírito (I Cor. 13.13).

Page 12: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

• Deus ama de maneira justa e santa. O amor do Pai é generoso, soberano e eterno.

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Relationship ‘Win-Win'

Romanos 12:18“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone..” NIV

Page 38: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

"If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all." (Amplified Bible - Lockman)

"as much as depends on you," more than that is not required of us. Nothing should be lacking on our part, every step should be taken, to cultivate and maintain peace; the blame should fall entirely on the other party; the saints must live peacefully with each other, even when others do not want to do it.

Page 39: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Rom 12:9-21 is a practical "how to" love as God

Rom.12: 18 when says: "If it is possible, as it depends on you, live peace with all men"Note the conditional nature of this verse. The phrases "if possible" and "as it depends on you" shows that we cannot force others to do what is right.

After we have done everything in our power to resolve a conflict, we fulfilled our responsibility before God.Now, if circumstances change and you will see a new opportunity for peace with an enemy, you must seize it.However, we must not lose time, energy and resources to a person who refuses to be reconciled, or that want reconciliation in their own terms.

Page 40: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

(1)Do not blame yourself. Some people are just antagonists.

(2)Trust God to change the other person. He prepares and softens hearts. Often it takes a lot of prayer and many months or years before a person is willing to be reconciled. We must be patient and wait on God.

(3)Get the help of a third party. Some conflicts require mediation of a mature Christian.

So:

Page 41: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Relationship ‘Win-Win'

This type of relationship is the kind that everyone should have in order that the benefit is for

everybody

Page 42: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Agreements and solutions are mutually beneficial and      mutually satisfactory. With a solution of 'win-win', all parties feel      good about the decision and feel committed to the      action plan.

The Relationship 'win-win' means:

'win-win sees life as a cooperative, not a competitive arena

Page 43: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

The mentality of 'win-win' is never only for your own

doings, and so just for your gain

Is, yes, to get the best for both sides!

Page 44: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Your character will determine if you’ll even be capable with maintaining that kind of relationship.

Creating the Win/Win relationship starts with yourself

Page 45: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Your character is made up of three things:

Integrity

• Knowing what your values are is important here. It should be important to you at all times. •The more important part of this is being aware of your commitments and responsibilities. If you can’t keep these promises to yourself, then you’ll be unable to keep them to others and especially the one you care about the most.

Page 46: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Maturity

It’s defined in the book as the balance between courage and consideration. The more consideration and the more courage you have the more of a Win/Win mentality can occur. Most guys develop consideration much before their courage in a relationship. They are willing to cater to all of the woman’s needs – which in a very few cases, is ok. But let’s be honest, many of those times you must feel as though you are making a huge sacrifice and are losing – only for the greater good of what? Your relationship? As much as you think she may actually Win, she doesn’t. She loses so much more than she gains by your giving up your integrity, your courage and your maturity.

Page 47: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

As you begin to understand the other person more, you develop your courage but then lose sight of your consideration. So yeah, you feel more confident about yourself and your approach to other people but it doesn’t mean you should forget what your mother taught you about how to treat other people

A major part of the maturation process is finding out, understanding why it happened, accepting your fault and making sure it NEVER happens again.

Page 48: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Abundance Mentality

This is the mentality that there is enough out there for everyone. In this case, I am not talking about the abundance of pessoas – although you should know that there is. In relationships, there is so much to share and you should be prepared and willing to share and accept all that you have. All of your joy, knowledge and fulfillment that you possess should be projected outward – because you have so much. When you have so much to give, then you are less worried about what you are taking. In effect, you actually get so much more, without knowing. It’s an abstract mentality but that really is the essence of the abundance mentality.

Page 49: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Once you are in tune with your star player, then you can develop better relationships. Part of it is letting people know that both parties can win if you can create a plan for getting what you both want. You both want to be happy, and then you two can work as a team to make that happen. In relationships, just like business, your character and the relationship you have will determine the success of your agreements.

Page 50: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Relationship ‘Lose-Lose’

Page 51: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

“When two determined, stubborn, ego-invested individuals interact, the result will be Lose/Lose.

Both will lose. Both will become vindictive and want to “get back” or “get even,” blind to the fact that murder is suicide, that revenge is a two-edged sword.”

Page 52: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

Here, when you are so focused on making sure that the other person lose that you don’t even care if it affects you, both parties will lose.

This philosophy is one that used in revenge, war and serious conflicts. In relationships, of all of the mentalities to have, this is the one you want the least.

Page 53: 1. Fruit of the Spirit - Love

This type of relationship is what most today live

One side wants to win and fight for itIn the end, both lose
