PLENUM END-OF-WEEK MEETING

Principal Madam convened a meeting with the HODs of all Departments to

discuss the Graduation day committees, registration status and Anna University

Inspection.




MCT INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO LMW

As a part of industry oriented learning, the III Year MCT B students visited LMW

Unit II and gained practical exposure to Sheet metal and Machine shop

processes.




S&H ECO CLUB ACTIVITY

The Eco Club of SHA gave an opportunity for the students to express their

views on the ‘Role of Bacteria in the Degradation of Plastics‟. The First

year students from various Departments actively participated and shared their

novel ideas to convert the degrading plastic into organic matter.




CIVIL INDUSTRY INSTITUTION INTERACTION

Department of Civil Engineering in association with Civil Engineering

Association (CEA) organized an Industry Institute Interaction.

Er.P.Karthikeyan, PACE Academy, Coimbatore emphasized the

importance of latest technological enhancements in the field of Civil

engineering by application of scan to BIM in the surveying technology and

Virtual reality for material procurement. He also highlighted the placement

opportunities in construction firm and prominent category of companies in

Civil Engineering.

MECH STUDENT INTERNSHIP AT TVS BRAKES INDIA

Sumesh. M Nair, Final year student from the Department of Mechanical

Engineering is undergoing Internship at TVS Brakes India Private Limited

for the past four months.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Tools used for machining

Feasibility of a design for machining

Safety aspects

Special machining and assembly processes

Corporate culture and work ethics




EEE TECHNICAL CLUB ACTIVITY

A technical discussion on ‘Self balancing cycle steering control and E Bike

Assembly‟ was deliberated by club coordinators and student team.




CIVIL SEMINAR ON HIGHER EDUCATION

An awareness seminar titled „GATE: To a Rewarding‟ was conducted for the

Third year Civil Engineering students by Mr. T. A.Saravanakumaran, Centre

Head, Gate Forum. The key take-aways of the session were on opportunities

for Civil engineers in various Government Sectors and Public Sector

Undertakings (PSUs). A scholarship test was also conducted as per the

pattern of GATE examination.

Over the last three decades, Photoshop has become part of our culture. It’s

added new features to Photoshop CC to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its

flagship photo editing software such as:

Content-Aware Fill-which allows users to make multiple selections and

apply multiple filters without leaving the workspace.

Lens Blur tool-which promises to more accurate edges when blurring

foregrounds and

Cloud capacity - to improve download/upload speeds by up to 90%.

S&H WINNER AT DISTRICT SKILL COMPETITION 2020

M.Manivannan, First year student from the Department of B.Tech Information

Technology has been awarded as the Winner at District Skill Competition

2020 in the Web Technology skill category held at Sri Adhisankarar

Polytechnic College, Trichy. The event was organized by Tamilnadu Skill

Development Corporation (TNSDC) and District Administration, Trichy.




IT RUNNER AT DISTRICT SKILL COMPETITION 2020

Saravanan V K, Third year student from the Department of Information

Technology has been awarded as the Runner at District Skill Competition

2020 in the „IT Network Cabling‟ skill category held at BSNL, Vellore District

from 23.01. 2020 to 31.01.2020 organized by Tamilnadu Skill Development

Corporation (TNSDC) and District Administration Vellore.

ECE FACULTY PARTICIPATON IN CHORD PROJECT MEET

Dr. S. Sophia, Head of the Department, ECE attended the 4th CHORD, DST

Project Meeting regarding “Assessment of Government of India‟s Gender

Mainstreaming Programs for Women in Science” at Administrative Staff

College of India (ASCI), Delhi. The meeting was held to interact with the

concerned officials and scientists who are directly engaged in the promotion

and implementation of women beneficiary programmes of the Government

whose feedback would be helpful in strengthening and making the project

outcome effectual and relevant.

EEE CLASS COMMITTEE MEETING

Class committee meeting was conducted for the Third year EEE students

chaired by Dr.V.Anand kumar , Professor, IT. He interacted with the students

on the progress of TLP and curricular activities.




CSE DEPARTMENT MEETING

Dr.K.Sasi Kala Rani, HOD, Department of CSE convened a meeting with the

faculty members at CSE Conference Room. The discussion was on

Registration status of Graduation day and other academic activities.




MCT DEPARTMENT MEETING

Dr. T. A. Selvan, Head of Mechatronics Engineering convened a meeting with

faculty members to discuss the regular academic activities.




ECE CLASS COMMITTEE MEETING

Class Committee meeting was conducted for the II year ECE students by

Dr.J. Karthika, Associate Professor, EEE. An interaction with students was

done with regard to Teaching Learning process and general concerns.




SKCET INTERNATIONAL DAY

International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is a worldwide annual

observance held on 21st February to promote awareness of linguistic and

cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. The theme for this year is

'Languages without borders'.
