During the delicious and bounteous chicken din- ner, short talks and toasts were made by practically every person present Everyone felt the fine spirit of com- panionship and freely offered his vievs about the past season and the vvcik of the school and officials. The Buick driven by Arthur Lind- blad and another in control of Elmond Nelson were involved. The former car was going north when the other car running P ast, struck it, careening i t off over the lawn at the Mrs. John Lund- quist home. The only damage to the Lindblad machine was the left feffder. It fell over on its side when it reached the lawn. The Nelson car, containing a number of voung men was a sight of battered metal. All the young men were huiled fiom the machine due to the impact but miraculously none sus- tained even noticeable injuries. For- tune wa.s surely with them. Two baby boys were baptized at the Saron Lutheran church Sunday, November 7th. One was the son of Mr. and 4 Mrs. Wm. Ekblad, who re- ceived the-name of Vergil Rosel, the other was the first born of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Swenson, who was given the name of Lemuel Hilding. Walter Anderson who has been em- ployed in Minneapolis for some time arrived home a short time ago. for an extended vacation. He spent the past w^ek with his uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Aug. Moller. Communion services will be held in the Norwegian church next Sun- day forenoon at 11 o'clock. Sunday School at 10 o'clock. Rev. A. F. Aimer will conduct ser- vices in the Swedish church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. George W. Nelson was born in Will- mar on April 16, 1888, where he spent his jouth and received an elementary education. On removal to St. Paul. George was engaged in work on the Chicago. Great Western R. R. as con- ductor. Later he served as fireman on the C, St. P. M. &> O. railroad and re- mained m its employ for a period of 1 vears. For eight years succeeding tl at he was a brakeman on the C. G. W Ry. and also held a position as ex- tra conductor. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter-Nel- son of St. Paul have the sympathy of this community in their sorrow. The young man is survived, besides his parents, by two brothers, Henry W. and Harold A. and two sisters, Mina S and Vera. An uncle, C. W. Lonn of AN lllmar and other relatives also sur- vive. The funeral occurred today (Wednes- oa\ ), at the home-of the bereaved fam- ily at 1.37 Laurel Ave.. St. Paul, and at the Macalaster Presbyterian church at bt. Paul where the rector Rev. R. C. Mr. Grace had invited out­side of the team mates, three mem­bers o£i/tfi9 faculty, Supt. Brohaugh, Coach Tr'ebilcock and Prof. Wahl-strandj "Referee Hartwick, Archie Carlson and Herbert Hengstler^ Mr. Grace was the entertainer of the evening and admirably measured up to the role's requirements. During the delicious and bounteous chicken din­ner, short talks and toasts were made by practically every person present Everyone felt the fine spirit of com­panionship and freely offered his vievs about the past season and the vvcik of the school and officials. The party lasted from 5 to 8 p. m. at the Grace home on Tark Ave. Much ere dit is due to Mr. Grace for the effoite he has put forth and the interest he has displayed in promoting athletics in the city,

Misses Hannah and Tillie Knudson arrived home Monday from a weeks visit in the cities.

The E. L. Quam family of Kandi­yohi visited at the John Thorvig home last Sundajr.

Two baby boys were baptized at the Saron Lutheran church Sunday, November 7th. One was the son of Mr. and 4Mrs. Wm. Ekblad, who re­ceived the-name of Vergil Rosel, the other was the first born of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Swenson, who was given the name of Lemuel Hilding.

Walter Anderson who has been em­ployed in Minneapolis for some time arrived home a short time ago. for an extended vacation. He spent the past w^ek with his uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs. Aug. Moller.

Communion services will be held in the Norwegian church next Sun­day forenoon at 11 o'clock. Sunday School at 10 o'clock.

Rev. A. F. Aimer will conduct ser­vices in the Swedish church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock.

George W. Nelson was born in Will­mar on April 16, 1888, where he spent his jouth and received an elementary education. On removal to St. Pau l . George was engaged in work on the Chicago. Great Western R. R. a s con­ductor. Later he served as fireman on the C, St. P. M. &> O. railroad and re­mained m its employ for a period of 1 vears. For eight years succeeding tl at he was a brakeman on the C. G. W Ry. and also held a position a s ex­tra conductor.

The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter-Nel­son of St. Paul have the sympathy of this community in their sorrow.

The young man is survived, besides his parents, by two brothers, Henry W. and Harold A. and two sisters, Mina S and Vera. An uncle, C. W. Lonn of AN lllmar and other relatives also sur-vive.

The funeral occurred today (Wednes-oa\ ), at the home-of the bereaved fam­ily at 1.37 Laurel Ave.. St. Paul, and a t the Macalaster Presbyterian church a t bt. Paul where the rector Rev. R. C. Mitchell officiated. Six comrades of the Brotherhood of Trainmen bore the > oung man to his place of rest a t Rose-lawn cemetery.

dames Oscar Hedin and C. G. Hoglund entertained a number of ladies at the latters home at a kitchen and pre­serve shower in honor of Miss Frances Hedin, a bride of next week.

A social time was enjoyed, after which the hostess served a dainty two course lunch.
