“After years of landscaping beautiful homes in Canberra’s premier suburbs I had multiple design features imbedded in my mind that I wanted to incorporate into the perfect family home. My dream was finally achieved in 2004 when I completed the project & it has now been our family’s home for 9 wonderful years. It has been very enjoyable raising our family here & every part of our home we use on a daily basis.

Our BBQ room we use multiple times each week in winter or summer, nothing like bacon & eggs on the BBQ on a Sunday morning when the temperature outside is -5 degrees. Every meal cooked in our ample & spacious kitchen is eaten in our family room all seated around our 10 seater table while watching ‘The Block’ or ‘The Biggest Loser’ (our kids favourite dinner time shows). The kids then go off to their segregated area of the home to shower & clean their teeth in our 3 way bath room where they can be all at one time without coming to fisticuffs. They also can watch TV or play the Wii in their rumpus/activity room located off the three bedrooms. Meanwhile the wife & myself have retired upstairs with a decaf where we can watch TV, read, jump on the computer or sit & gaze at the wonderful view from the balcony (preferably with a glass of bubbly).

Our kids are going to miss this truly amazing home just as much as their parents, but it is for a very important reason we are selling & that is to help out my ageing & unwell parents whose wishes are to live with us so we can look after them in their final years. This home is just not designed to accommodate them, so we are after another place with a granny & grandad flat. I hope my kids do the same for their parents one day.”
