Services and Infrastructure Core Enterprise

By integrating all Army services, infrastructure and operational support into one Army Enterprise, the Army achieves the highest quality of service and infrastructure output with the most precise, equitable, and lean expenditure of resources: the highest output at best value. For this Core Enterprise, services include operational support provided across all four enterprises, joint, and to the DoD in such areas as the provision of intelligence, the network, and engineering.

The Services and Infrastructure Enterprise (SICE) becomes a key element of the Generating Force’s effort to support ARFORGEN, maintain the All-Volunteer Force and provide quality of life equal to the quality of service. It has the greatest potential for optimization of Army resources through integration of supporting enterprises.

Progressive Unit Readiness

AC / ARNG / USAR

• ARFORGEN is a unit operational readiness cycle optimized to provide commanders with trained and ready units

• Individuals and the human dimension within ARFORGEN do not operate on the same rigidly defined cycles.

• Individual BOG dwell vs unit dwell (1:1.62 vs 1:2)• Soldier and Family stresses occur throughout the operational cycle• Services can be predictive to meet unit demands of ARFORGEN but must be flexible to provide support to Soldiers and Families when they need it most.
