    High Level Initiation Meeting:

    Windhoek and Walvis BayRaise awareness/share project information

    Engage with the key marine and terrestrial

    authorities regarding the proposed project in

    order to solicit their ideas and concerns

    about strategic matters and concepts about

    the project. This is expected to assist the

    consultant in defining the parameters for the

    study in terms of issues to explore in the full

    EIA phase.

    Authorities Initiation Meeting:

    Windhoek and Walvis BayRaise awareness/share project information

    Consult with the organs of state which have

    jurisdiction over the areas where the

    proposed project will be implemented.

    Since aspects of the proposed project will

    be implemented at both sea and on land,

    the concerns and ideas of the marine and

    terrestrial authorities are to be solicited.Possible solutions to challenges faced with

    regards to the proposed project can also be

    provided.

    Assist the consultant in defining the

    parameters for the study in terms of issues

    to explore in the full EIA phase.

    Focal Group Meeting:

    Ministry of Fisheries and MarineResources

    Since a large component of this proposed

    project will take place at sea with possibleaffects on the marine life, a separate

    meeting is to be conducted with MFMR.

    Obtain their specialized input and have in-

    depth discussions on the project

    information. Issues raised will further assist

    in defining the parameters for the study as

    well as ensuring that the terms of reference

    for the specialists encompasses specialized

    issues that needs to be explored.
