Tournament Information

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Rochester! In this packet, you will find information on the New York State Amateur Hockey Association State Tournaments as well as things to do in our community. As one of the nation’s premier sports communities, Monroe County has a rich sports history at both the professional and amateur levels, playing home to the Rochester Red Wings, Rochester Americans, Rochester Rhinos, Rochester Knighthawks and Rochester Razor Sharks. All of the area Colleges, Universities, Section V, club and travel teams provide a strong variety of quality sports for everyone to enjoy. Off the courts, Rochester is rich in history and culture as we are home to celebrated entrepreneurs like George Eastman, and legendary civil rights pioneers Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. Music, theatre, and the arts are just a few of the hallmarks of our community. Our vibrant cultural district, in the heart of our Center City, includes the world-renowned Eastman Theatre and some of the nation’s finest museums. We hope that you have a chance to get out and experience some of what our community has to offer. Enjoy your weekend and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future! Best of luck in the tournament!
