The scope of work covers all the activities starting from the feasibility study, engineering, supply of automation equipment, installation, testing & commissioning up to system hand over.

Development of FDS, Equipment lists and Instrumentation lists

Instrumentation Solutions Instrumentation is the base of any efficient and reliable automation system. It's extremely important to select the right instruments and transmitters from a wide range of types and vendors. An instrument can be a simple process variable measuring device or an intelligent type connected to the field bus. We propose cost effective Instrumentation Selecting the right instrument for the right application and budget.

Information Technology Solutions Manufacturers are under considerable pressure competing in a market requiring high quality and efficient production with minimized cost. Power Distribution System

Obsolete and old automation systems require revamping and upgrade. Due to the lack of support for the old systems or non-availability of spare parts, old control systems need upgrading. Furthermore, new technologies improve production processes while reducing production costs. Revamping and Upgrading may be of several forms: Old to new Automation systems : Centralized Control System Manual and Semi automatic systems to full Automatic Systems Integration with Management Information Systems or MES. State of the Art cable communication systems are based on Fibre Optic Cable and multiplex communication systems. These systems provide communication links for voice, data and video signals and are offered by various manufacturers.

The automation systems demand transfer of high amounts and speed of data between the Central Control Room, the local and remote locations. Therefore it is very imperative to propose a system, which should cater to the wide-ranging needs imposed by the automation system. The bandwidth capacity and the data transfer rate should be sufficient enough to ensure an efficient and reliable communication system together with the mode of the FOC. The design can be single loop or redundant, ring type self-healing dual loop.

IICS communication engineers have substantial knowledge and experience in the implementation of advanced communication systems based on Fibre Optic Links. The system can be proposed and implemented according to the SCADA and other data acquisition needs.

We have a technically strong team dedicated to the maintenance and trouble shooting of automation systems. The team is based in Al Khobar and Jubail area to take care of emergency calls on a very short notice. We have a minimum response time and our engineers are available round the clock seven days a week. Our engineers well capable to maintain and service PLC and DCS systems from Siemens, MODICON, and Allen Bradley. We also perform yearly maintenance contracts and Spare Parts management. Our maintenance engineers have helped our industrial clients to reduce dependency on foreign experts. Our maintenance services are not limited to preventive maintenance visits or emergency trouble shooting calls. We also keep track of the performance of the systems and record its operational data. Basic Automation. (5 Days) Introducing the automation concept by and various components of the PLC hardware and functions, Including the Basic program-ming operations. Small projects execution

SCADA/HMI (5 Days.) SCADA functions details and interfacing with PLCs are on focused. Engineer’s alarms, archiving and reports generating functions. The participants will execute and document a small-scale project.

Data Buses: Communication and Networking (5 Days.) Various data buses are introduced as a start. Practical Configurations and Para-metering functions of PROFIBUS and Ethernet are intensively conducted. Networks Faults and errors diagnosis are practiced. A list of various “Data Buses” hardware components and relative configurations with the related software Para-metering requirements are deeply elaborated.

Introduction An outstanding and valuable service is within the reach of local industry, enabling plants technicians to trouble-shoot and maintain their automation systems. Instructors A highly skilled and experienced team of instructors conducts training on various processes, while maintaining a well designed and sequentially organized set of information is effectively and gradually transmitted to the trainees. Simulation of industrial plants models using SCADA, PLCs, Instruments and equipments are utilized in the courses. Fields of training We provide training to engineer and technicians of various levels of expertise to build-up their automation skills. The range of offered Courses includes training on SCADA, HMI, PLCs, RTUs, and Industrial Data Buses and Communications (e.g. Profibus and Ethernet) starting from the beginner’s level up to the advanced level. An integrated course covering the above disciplines is also offered. Expectations and Results After an adequate training program, trainees shall be able to trouble shoot and maintain their own automation systems independently, reconfigure it in case of any upcoming system requirement and plan the revamping/upgrading process according to their necessity.

Basic Automation. (5 Days) Introducing automation concept and various components of PLC hardware and functionalities, including Basic programming operations, and small projects execution.

Automation Maintenance & Trouble-Shooting (5 Days) Configured for Maintenance Engineers and Technicians. It emphasizes on the trouble shooting of PLCs through practical steps and simulated faults.

Advanced Automation (5 days) Advancement on the knowledge gained from the preceding courses, participants shall learn “Analog programming operations”, “Complex Function Blocks Development”, “PID loops” and “Old to New PLC systems up gradation”.

SCADA/HMI. (5 Days.) SCADA functions interfacing with PLCs are focused on. Engineers shall learn alarms logging, archiving and reports generating functions. The participants shall execute and document a small-scale project related to their individual plant processes.

Data Buses: Communication and Networking (5 Days.) Various data buses are introduced as a start. Practical Configurations and Para-metering functions of PROFIBUS and Ethernet are intensively conducted. Networks Faults and errors diagnosis are practiced. A list of various “Data Buses” hardware components and relative configurations with the related software Para-metering requirements are deeply elaborated.

Integrated Training: (10 Days) Covering DCS or SCADA, PLCs and Networking as an integrated course. The package can be tailor-made according to the specific needs of clients.
