Necropola Zmeinaja Balka de lng satul Koary, regiunea Odesa

Rezumat

n anul 2006, n preajma satului Koary, regiunea Odesa, Ucraina, au fost continuate spturile arheologice, iniiaten anului 2005 de Expediia Muzeului de Arheologie din Odesa, la necropola din epoca eneolitic trzie perioadatimpurie a epocii bronzului. Ca urmare a investigaiilor de teren au fost depistate trei morminte i dou construcii.Mormintele reprezint cenotafe sau rezultatele unei renhumrii. Construciile sunt de dou tipuri: 1. platform desuprafa cu amenajare de piatra; 2. groapa unei construcii adncite cu deminsiuni mari. Obiectele descoperiteprezint: unelte din silex, fragmente ceramice, figurine zoomorfe (capul unei broate estoase) i fragmentul uneilezpezi de piatr cu reprezentri antropomorfe. Inventarul descoperit n necropol se ncadreaz n linii majore nperioad eneolitic trzie perioada timpurie a epocii bronzului. De asemenea au fost depistate i unele fragmenteceramice ce aparin culturii Sabatinovka, sec. XIII-XII a. Chr.

The burial cemetery Zmeinaya Balka, near village of Koary, Odessa district

Abstract

In 2006 the archaeological expedition of Odessa Archaeological Museum continued excavations at a Late Eneolithic- Early Bronze Age cemetery near the village of Koary where three more burials and two new compounds were found.The skeletons were absent; fragments of pottery, bones and flint tools, zoomorphic and anthropomorphic stonesstatuettes were discovered. The objects from this cemetery are contemporary with those found at the Late Eneolithicsites Usatovo and Mayaki, and find certain analogy in the Early Catacomb culture of the region. The upper level of thecemetery preserves some material of the Late Bronze Age Sabatinovka culture and is dated to the XIII-XII c. B.C.
