The Chemguard pressure-sustaining valve is usedin balanced pressure foam proportioning systems tomaintain a set system pressure. The valve is usedin combination with the foam concentrate pump to

maintain consistent upstream pressure regardlessof system demand.

SPECIFICATIONS

The basic valve is a single seated, line pressureoperated, diaphragm actuated, pilot controlledglobe valve. The valve is sealed by means of acorrosion resistant seat and resilient, rectangularseat disc. These and other parts are replaceable inthe field; and all such service and adjustments arepossible without removing the valve from thesystem pipework. The stem of the valve is guidedtop and bottom by integral bushings. All internal andexternal ferrous surfaces are coated with a highquality, two part epoxy primer; the exterior thenreceives a coat of baked enamel paint.

The pilot control system includes a direct acting,normally closed, spring loaded diaphragm actuatedpilot valve with the stem guided between thediaphragm assembly and seat disc. To ensureprecise pressure regulation, the appropriately ratedpilot valve is field adjustable within the pressurecontrol range of the spring. Such adjustment is notto exceed a ratio of 6:1. The valve is operationallyand hydrostatically tested with the appropriate pilot

in place prior to shipping and carries a one-yearlimited warranty against failure due to defects inworkmanship or materials.
