PleasejoinusforafulldayworkshopdevotedtotheInternetofThings.AtthiseventyouwillbeexposedtotalksthatdescribewhattheInternetofThingsisallabout,whyitisanimportantpartofthefuture,andwhataretheimportantingredientsforsuccessfulproductsandservicesintheIoTspace.ThetalkswillcoverthemanymanifestationsofIoTandhowitisalreadyimpactingalmostallverticalsoftheWorldEconomyandgrowingatarapidpaceinadoptionandinfluence.Thetalks

willcovertheIoTlandscapeandidentifytrends,whotheplayersare,andwhattechnologiesareimportant.ThevisionforIoTistousecommoninfrastructuretoconnectindividualdeviceswitheachother,andwithpeople,inawaywheredigitaldata,andanalysisdrivesdecisionthatcanbeexercisedandinfluencedremotely.Software,Algorithms,andArtificialIntelligencetechniquesplayakeyroleandultimatelydeterminethelevelofquality,safety,andreliabilityofIoTproductsandservices.Thisisparticularlyimportant,asmoreandmorecriticalapplicationsbecomeapartofIoT.

ThelineupofspeakersincludesexpertsandpractitionerswhowilldiscusshowIoTisimportantintheirindustry,whattheyseeastheingredientsforsuccess,thetechnicalandbusinesschallenges,andtheirviewsofhowtheInternetofThingsislikelytoevolve.InkeepingwiththethemeoftheQRS2017conferencethefocuswillbeonissuesofsoftwarequality,safety,security,andreliabilityandhowtheuseofcommonIoTinfrastructure-communications,computing,storage,dataandanalytics,andsystemsforremotecontrolofcriticalfunctionscontributetothevaluefromIoT.

Attheendofthedaytherewillbeamoderatedpaneldiscussions,withaudienceparticipation.Itwillbedevotedtohighlightingthekeytechnical,business,andregulatoryconsiderationsforIoTdeploymentsandidentifyingconcreteactionsthatcouldspeedthedeploymentofIoTofferingsandmeetthechallengesofquality,safety,reliability,security,andscale.

Marek Ujejski currently works for the WASKO CapitalGroup as a Board Advisor for Information TechnologySecurity.Hewas formerly theDeputyDirector of the ITDepartmentat theNationalHealthFund(NFZ) inPolandwhere he was responsible for planning IT investments,projectmanagementandITinfrastructure.Hewasaoneof themainauthorsof thedocument: "StrategyforNFZinformationresourcesin2007-2010."Heisthealsobehindthe idea for developing amedical services register andthe co-author of "Medical Service Register II (RejestrUsługMedycznychRUM II)."Marek served as the Polishrepresentative in the EU working structures (CWA)

draftingtheprojectstandardfortheelectronicEuropeanHealthInsuranceCard(eEHIC)andamemberofeIDASExpertGroupestablishedbytheEuropeanCommission.Hewasalsoinvolvedinthepreparationsoftheproject fornationalmedical insuranceusingacrypto processor card for authentication of patients and authorization of medicaltransactions. His specialty is privacy sensitive medical Data Bases using variouscryptographysolutions.Heisafrequentspeakeratconferencesinthisdomain.
