Week of June 4, 2019 MT PARK 63(1) Tom Miner Creek Road Capital Improvements Project Construction Newsletter For questions regarding the project contact: Matt Bean - WFL PE (360) 607-4061 [email protected] CONTRACT NO: 69056718C000009 AWARDED TO: Pavkov Contracting Corp Sumter, SC 29150 The Tom Miner Creek Road Capital Improvements Project is located approxi- mately 40 miles Southwest of Livingston, Montana in Paradise Valley. The pro- ject work consists of removal and replacement of the two deteriorating short span concrete bridges over Tom Miner Creek and Rock Creek. The existing bridges will be replaced with longer and wider GRS-IBS bridges, riprap protec- tion, and guardrail. The project will also include some rehabilitation work on the Carbella Truss Bridge consisting of replacing the existing bridge deck and repairing some of the truss members. Trafϐic Control Current Operations Construction signs are in placed for the Rock Creek and Tom Miner work sites. Flaggers may be utilized to control the work zones, if necessary. For larger vehicle trafϐic utilizing the Rock Creek Bridge be aware of construction trafϐic and personnel at the work site during working hours. Please slow down and drive safely through the work areas. Work on the Tom Miner project is set to resume June 10, 2019. The Contractor will be remobilizing to the project to complete the remaining roadwork at the Rock Creek and Tom Miner sites. Beginning next Monday the Contractor will begin the roadway excavation, ϐinal riprap, culvert installation, and aggregate placement work for the Rock Creek site. Work at the Tom Miner site will also be occurring intermittently or when the Rock Creek site is completed. Work on the project is anticipated to be com- pleted by the beginning of July. The Contractor is scheduled to work Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until work is completed. The Rock Creek Bridge will remain open to trafϐic throughout the completion of the remaining work. Light vehicle trafϐic is encouraged to use the Carbella Bridge to avoid construction delays. Larger vehicles will be able to utilize the Rock Creek Bridge during work hours but are encouraged to use the bridge outside of work hours as much as possible to avoid construction delays.
