Job Pack Offline Installation Procedure

1 PREREQUISITES

All computers require the following configuration before installation of the JPO app:

• Windows 7, 32- bit or 64-bit with UAC turned off

• Microsoft Office 2010 suite (incl. InfoPath 2010)

• Beyond Trust Powerbroker Client must be uninstalled. (requirement subject to

change)

• Minimum 1 GB of RAM

• User has local administrator rights on their laptop (requirement subject to change)

• USB signature pad (the software is auto-installed during the JPO app installation)

1.1 Checking Computer

• On your desktop:

o Click on the Windows “Start” button.

o Right-click the “Computer” icon

o Click “Properties”.

Verify your Version of Windows.

1.2 Verify Administer Rights

• Click the Windows Start Button.

• In the Search Bar type “User Accounts” then hit “Enter”.

• Under “Control Panel” click on User Accounts.

• Click “Manage User Accounts”.

• Find your Login Username.

Verify that you are in the “Administrators” Group.• Click “OK”.

1.3 Turn off UAC

• Click on “Change User Account Control Settings”

• Check to see if the Slide bar is set to “Never Notify”.

If it is not then move the slide bar down to set it to “Never Notify”.• Click on “OK”.

• Restart your computer.

1.4 Turn on InfoPath

• Click the Windows Start Button.

• Type “Programs and Features” into the search bar and press “Enter”.

Scroll down to “Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010” and click once.• Now click “Change”.

• Verify the “Add or Remove Features” option is checked.

• Click “Continue”.






• If the two boxes illustrated are White then skip the next steps.

• If the two boxes are Grey as illustrated then click on the box labelled “Microsoft

Office.”






• Click on the option “Run all from My Computer”.

• Click “Continue” and let the install finish. This could take a few minutes to complete.

• Once the install is complete restart your Computer.






2 JPO INSTALLATION PROCESS

• In Tracker (tracker.nov.com), go to Main Menu Links Job Pack Information

• Click on the installation link in the middle of the page.

• Follow the guided instructions once the program begins its installation process.

• The next few slides will identify key points during installation.

• Accept the EULAs (End User License Agreements).






• As illustrated select the option for Windows 98\ME\2000\XP\2003\Vista

• Click on “OK”

• As illustrated select: SigLite 1X5 (T-S460 OR T-S461)

• Click “OK”






• For Connection Type Select: HSB (USB type)

• Click “OK”

• This step is optional, we recommend “No” because it serves little use.

• Continue on to complete the Topaz installation.

• Click on “Install” when the next Pop-up appears.






• When first running the program, if you are prompted to perform a Remote wipe;

Select “Yes”:

• Warning!!! If you are prompted to perform a Remote wipe in the future, DO NOT

perform it without your Supervisors approval.

• When the program is finished installing, JPO will automatically open up. The very first

time after installation you need to immediately close the JPO application and reopen

it to complete the installation.
