TIMELY ACCESS TO CRITICAL INFORMATIONPremier MDC and Premier Handheld are wireless mobiledata communication software solutions that give officersaccess quickly and securely to information about people,property and vehicles. This information can be accessedfrom the confines of their patrol cars or while on foot,bicycle, horseback or motorcycle patrol.

This technology enables officers to quickly obtaininformation which is normally retrieved via radio contact with a dispatch center, or that previously could not be accessed at all. The Premier MDC andPremier Handheld software give officers access to federal, state and local databases with an easy single entry check using advanced radio technologywith compressed and encrypted data transmissions.

Driver's license information is captured using the 2Dbar code scanner or magstripe reader allowing licenseinformation to appear on the mobile computer. A querycan automatically be sent to the State/DMV and federaldatabases, including the National Law EnforcementTelecommunications System (NLETS) and the NationalCrime Information Center (NCIC) from the scannedlicense information. Officers no longer have to radiodispatch or travel to headquarters to obtain information,allowing them to remain in the field, protecting theircommunity.

Premier MDC and Premier Handheld support silent dispatch and communication via a Computer AidedDispatch system (CAD). Premier MDC provides a complete interface with Motorola’s Premier CAD ™

software, delivering critical information to field personnel. Key features provided with Premier MDC

and Premier CAD integration include: dispatch, currentunit status, query hit notifications, silent emergency notifi-cations, messaging, and address verifications.

OFFICER SAFETYPremier MDC and Premier Handheld software are helpingto fight crime with wireless technology which is playingan increasingly important role in tackling the issues ofpublic safety today; giving officers first hand knowledgeof a potential criminal or dangerous situation beforemaking contact with an individual or suspect. When offi-cers stop a vehicle, they are able enter the license platenumber to obtain information about the vehicle and driver.Officers have the flexibility to query NLETS and the NCICas well as a Record Management System (RMS). In lessthan a minute, officers have the latest information on thedriver – license status, arrest warrants and more. Thisinformation can be critical to an officer who may suddenlybe faced with a dangerous situation, which started out as a routine traffic stop.

SECURE TRANSMISSIONSPremier MDC and Premier Handheld software provide fortransmission of secure, detailed information from theMessage Switch to field personnel. Transactions areencrypted using 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard(AES) including, silent dispatches that allow officer statusupdates to effectively inform dispatch of their disposition.

The Dispatch window ofPremier MDC software displays information sent to the mobile officer fromthe CAD. Officers canreview the list of dispatches and then view details of a selected incident,including assigned units,weapon, vehicle and premise information.

The reality today is that voice radio traffic can interferewith the officer’s requests and ability to communicatewith other officers. The messaging feature of PremierMDC and Premier Handheld allows the officers to silently and securely exchange messages with anyone

connected to the Premier MDC system. This can includeheadquarters, dispatch, a supervisor or another policecar. The system administrator can easily create messag-ing groups so that routing can be accomplished.

The Premier Handheldmain application screenprovides access to allmajor functions with easilyidentifiable icons anddescriptions.
