There was discussion concerning the yellow roadster on our club logo. It was decided to keep the yellow roadster as it is on the logo.
Kevin represented our club at the car club meeting held in Cabot, Arkansas. He got good feedback from other clubs, concerning our car shows. Kevin brought back flyers for every car show to be held in this area.
Don named several car shows that we can enter and attend during the next several months. One was the Bradley County “Flashback Wings & Wheels Show”. This will be held in May.
$272.66 was received from the insurance company for speakers owned by the club. The speakers were stolen during a break-in, while being stored.
An idea was brought up of how we should select the high school scholarship recipient.
It was suggested that the kids submit an essay, go before a panel of members and come to a meeting. This will be a more formal way of selecting a recipient. A motion was made and accepted to do it this way. A scholarship committee was selected for doing the interviews. They are as follows: Don Searls – Club President, Jeremy Briggs, Bill Helton, Bill Yates, and alternates Harold Bates, Jim Bemis. Kevin Mathis will act as an advisor. Any member can sit in on the interview, however they will not be able to ask any questions.
George Covington is looking for a part time mechanic to work on his antique cars, if anyone is interested contact Don.
Keith Belcher (not a member) who attended our car club shows regularly was killed recently in an accident. Joyce Hudson will send a card to his family, expressing our sympathy.
Jim Bemis reported that Pat Holloway’s cars would be in the movie about the life of Hank Williams. Part of the movie was being shot in Little Rock and that is when they used his cars.
Motion was made & 2nd to adjourn.

It feels like this year is flying by again. Just as years passed. It is almost time for the Toad Suck Daze Car Show. The date for this year is May 1, 2010, which is just over a month away. I should have some more updates from the chamber later this month.
We have one meeting left before the car show, so we also have some planning to do. Please remember that we will need a lot of help the day of the show with parking of the cars, directing the traffic and many other areas. Please plan to attend if at all possible.
Another important thing that we have coming up is the selection of the student for our annual scholarship. I believe that we will have several students to pick from this year, so it should be challenging. These students are the future of our hobby.
Also be thinking about a Saturday cruise. There are several options on the table, and we will be making a decision at the April meeting.
I think that is about all I have for this month, so I will see you at the eat-‐out or the April meeting.
