SKCET is conferred with Second Rank in SWACHH Campus Rankings 2019,

consecutively for the second year.

SKCET has been ranked as India’s Second Cleanest Technical Institution

amongst the Higher Educational Institutions in the country in the SWACHH Campus

Ranking 2019 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government

of India, for the second consecutive year. SKCET is in the top chart for the

meticulous maintenance of hygienic campus and operational excellence showcased

in the online submission of details, AICTE and UGC team inspection visits of this

Swachhata Rankings exercise wherein over 6000 HEIs have participated.

SKCET clean sweeps Second Rank in CLEAN and SMART CAMPUS 2019

SKCET emerges as the Second ranked Institution in the Clean & Smart Campus:

2019 awards instituted by Swachh Bharat Mission Council. This award has been

bestowed to SKCET for the immense potential exhibited in modelling a smart SKCET

campus and optimizing the use of inter alia energy and water consumption by

deploying the rising use of technologies especially IOT, robotics, cloud and

automation.

ONE STUDENT ONE TREE AWARD 2019

SKCET bags Third Rank for One Student-One Tree 2019

SKCET is honoured with “National Third Rank” for the One Student-One Tree

Initiative in Jal Shakti Abhiyan for the exemplary green cover ventures initiated with

Mega Plantation of 10,050 trees at SKCET campus. This was implemented in line

with AICTE’s vision for a green and healthy environment, with the theme focus

‘Trees are the solution’.

10,050 saplings of diverse species inclusive of Silver oak, Kumil, Ashoka, Magizham,

Nagalingam, Naval, Jack fruit, Neem, Filicium decipiens plant(Fern), Vengai, Badam

and Poovarasan trees were planted in various locations at SKCET premises by

students.

Project review was conducted for the Final year EEE C section students. Project idea and

titles were confirmed by the coordinators. Suggestions were given by the panel members to

enhance the ideas for implementation.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN BHOPAL HACKATHON - CSBS / CSE

R.Siva Shankar, M.Siva Sanjay Rahul of II CSE C (TCS), Keerthi Rajan, Bhavik Patel,

Ananth, Ashwin and Padmashankar of II CSE A participated in the Bhopal Smart City

Hackathon-2019 on the problem statement ‘Medocs’- Health related App solution. The team

has been shortlisted for the finals after clearing two tough online competency levels.

FACULTY MOOC CERTIFICATION – CSE/ECE

Ms.A.Priya, Assistant Professor, CSE has successfully completed ‘Python for Data

Science and AI’, an online non-credit course authorized by IBM and offered through

Coursera.

Ms. D. A. Janeera, Assistant Professor, ECE has successfully completed the

IEEE Professional Development Hours (PDH) certification on ‘Fully Coupled Internal

Space Charging Simulations With Ema3d-Internal’.





FOUNDATION COURSE - MECH

A Foundation Course on Vehicle Design and Development was conducted by Seine

Aerospace for the Final year students at Vankatram Learning Centre by

Mr.HabibRahaman (Project Engineer, Seine Aerospace) and Mr. GokulRajulu (Alumni

and Project Engineer, Seine Aerospace). Seine Aerospace has signed a MoU with our

college by the virtue of which our students are given direct exposure to the design and

analysis problems faced by the industry. The company aims to design and fabricate a

disaster rescue vehicle for which our students will be trained to design and analyze certain

subsystems. Ten students from the Final year Mechanical Engineering Department have

enrolled for the course which promises to impart practical knowledge and expertise to make

them industry ready.





STUDENT MOOC CERTIFICATION - CSE

Akash R from II CSE A has successfully completed ‘Introduction to CSS3’ an online

non-credit course authorized by University of Michigan and offered through Coursera.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed on December 3rd of every

year, around the world to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize

support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The theme for this

year is ‘Promoting the participation of persons with disabilities and their leadership:

taking action on the 2030 Development Agenda’.
