sensors combine high durability with

maximum sensing distance capability

to provide the performance it takes to

handle the most challenging sensing

environments.

Increased durability

Proximaxsensors incorporate a

Duroplast injection molded sensing

face in a stainless steel housing. The

Duroplast sensing face resists

abrasion, pitting, hot chips, and weldslag while withstanding continuous

temperatures of up to195C (383F).

Teflon coated versions resist weld slag

build-up on the sensor for added

protection.

Excellent vibration and shock

resistance

Duroplast material surrounds all vital

sensor components for maximum

shock and vibration resistance.

These IP 67/68 rated sensors are

immune to solvents, coolants,

lubricants and cleaning fluids.

Extended range

Extended sensing range capability

allows the sensor to be mounted

further from the target, while ensuring

accurate target detection with

decreased impact possibilities.

Diagnostic output versionDESINA sensors' self-diagnostic

functions monitor the coiloperation, operating circuit, andcheck for output failure.

These sensors add an extra

third wire to the basic 2-wire DC

sensor design. When the sensor

is powered, the extra output ison if the sensor is functioning. Ifany of the self-diagnosticfunctions indicate a problem, the

diagnostic output turns off.

The stainless steel housingtogether with the Injectionmolded Duroplast front

section provides very high

resistance to aggressivecoolants and lubricants whileproviding shock, vibration,

and hot chip protection.

When the sensor isfunctioning properly, thediagnostic output is

conducting. An additionaldiagnostic output monitorsthe function of the switchand the supply line.

An optical setup aidsimplifies proper adjustment

to ensure that the sensoroperates reliably over the

entire tolerance range.

Note:

Connectors with integratedLED function display shouldnot be used with functiondiagnostics switches. This isbecause the LED is in paral-

lel with the load RL, thusdefeating the cable breakmonitoring function.
