TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY1. Exhibit must be the original work of the exhibitor, completed within the last 12 months and must be ready for display.2. Entry Fee: Seniors $2.00 per entry and juniors $1.00 per entry.3. Exhibits must remain on display for the duration of the show.4. Collection of Entries: All entries can only be collected be teen 4pm and 5pm on Sunday the 3rd April 20165. General Entries: Will be accepted on Monday 28th March to Tuesday 29th March 2016 between 5pm and 8pm at the Trevor Toms Pavilion (all craft work) and Pam Green Room (Art)6. Entry into the showground is via Kent St, Blacktown Showground.7. All Cooking Entries: are to be delivered to the Needlework Room between 8am and 10am on Friday the 1st April 2016.8. Judges reserve the right to reclassify entries with the Judge's decision being final with no correspondence being entered into.9. Sales: Exhibits and entry forms must be marked either - Not for Sale (NFS) or for sale (with a $ price), where a 20% commission will be charged.10. Proof of age required for Classes restricted to person over 70yrs of age.11. Exhibits that are soiled or have been washed (with the exception of spun or woven items) will not be accepted.12. Only 1 pass will be issued to each exhibitor with 5 entries or more13. Security: All reasonable care is taken to ensure no loss or damage to exhib its, left in our care. However, no responsibility will be taken by the Blacktown City Show society Inc. for any loss or damage to any exhibit.14. Prize Money: Paid after 4.00pm on the Sunday.

ICING & DECORATING

Here’s what you do:

Mix together all the fruits and nuts and sprinkle with the sherry or brandy. Cover and leave for at least one hour but preferably overnight. Sift together the flours and spices. Cream together the butter and sugar with the essences. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then alternately add the fruit and flour mixtures. Mix thoroughly. The mixture should be stiff enough to support a wooden spoon. Place the mixture into a prepared tin no larger than 20cm (8 inches) and bake in a slow oven for approx. 3-4 hours. Allow to cool in the tin.
