I. INTRODUCTION
CONSIDERABLE activity has occurred in the devel-opment and application of probabilistic techniques forpower system reliability evaluation since the six previous bib-
liographies were published in 1972, 1978, 1984, 1988, 1994,
and 1999. Only those papers which were published before the
end of 1999 have been included in this bibliography.

Mahmud Fotuhi-Firuzabad (SM99) was born in Iran. Received the B.Sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Sharif University ofTechnologyand TehranUniversity, Tehran,Iran, in 1986and 1989, respectively,andthe M.Sc. andPh.D. degrees in electrical engineering from theUniversity ofSaskatchewan,Saskatoon, Canada, where he is presentlya Post-doctoral Fellow.His area of research interest is power system reliability evaluation.
