1. General information about components for SAP EWM 9.2

This note describes how to install or update the components SCMEWM 920 and SCMEWMUI 920.

Information about the installation options is available in the master guide.

2. Prerequisites for the SCMEWM 920 installation

           Before you install SCMEWM, note that it is not possible to uninstall ABAP add-ons. Further restrictions that concern the upgrade and maintenance of your SAP system and that are caused by installing an add-on are described in the release strategy note.

l The following information about add-on SAP Event Management 9.2 is available on SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/PAM - Availability - End of maintenance - Release for products with enhancement packages - Language support - Support Package Stacks

   Caution: The installation of the ABAP add-on release SCMEWM 920 and SCMEWMUI 920 within the product "SAP EWM 9.2" is released for installation/upgrade on:

n Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 n SAP NetWeaver 7.4 n Enhancement Package 3 for SAP SCM 7.0(upgrade only).

            SCMEWM 920 is not released for installation on SAP CRM and SAP SRM.

 

l Required Components: Actual information about required components and support packages is available on SAP Service Marketplace for corresponding package: Info File/View content information -> Import Condition

    Caution:  If you plan to install SAP EWM 9.2 with combination SAP TM you have to use EA-IPPE 400 only!

 

l Attribute Change Package: You must download Attribute Change Package(ACP) of the add-on if it exists. ACPs are available on SAP Service Marketplace: http://service.sap.com/SWDC -> Support Packages and Patches   -> Search for Software Downloads     -> SCMEWM 920 or SCMEWMUI 920 Search options: Only "ABAP Support Packages and Patches"  

 

l Obtain the following notes before you begin the installation:

 

3. Preparing the SAP EWM 9.2 installation

You need to generate XML file to install Add-On with TA SAINT or as part of EhpI-upgrade.

You need SPAM/SAINT-Update Version 7.40/0054 or higher.

 

4. Installing/updating SAP EWM 9.2

a.) with Software Update Manager(SUM)

If you have already installed the required Support Package Stacks for SAP NETWEAVER 7.4 or Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 or Enhancement Package 3 for SAP SCM 7.0 and you are planning an add-on installation of SAP EWM 9.2 with TA SAINT, ignore this section and continue reading under point b).

The general approach for the installation using Software Update Manager(SUM) is described in the guides for corresponding Enhancement Package.

Installation or update to SAP EWM 9.2 can be included in an Enhancement Package upgrade or Support Package installation selecting corresponding Add-On in MOPZ-step "Choose Add-On Products". You can install or update SAP EWM 9.2 together with the required component releases in the SUM process. If the Component Support Packages have not yet been imported, they can be included in the installation/update of SAP EWM 920 (For more information, see Note 83458.).

Update to SAP EWM  9.2 on SAP SCM

CAUTION: For and update on SAP SCM you need SPAM/SAINT-Update Version 7.40/0055 or higher.Version 55 is not available globally. If higher version is not yet available, please request a SPAM/SAINT update to Version 55 via an incident on the component BC-UPG-OCS-SPA (with refernce to this note). If you will use SPAM/SAINT Version 55, please, be aware of the contained problem and implement note 2105713 to

     Update to SCMEWM 920  can be done using transaction SAINT for ABAP server "Enhancement Package 3 for SAP SCM 7.0 SPs6".      Update to SCMEWM 920 must be included in the Enhancement Package 3 update for SAP SCM 7.0 for one of the instances:                 - SAP SCM 2007                 - SAP SCM 7.0                 - Enhancement Package 1 for SAP SCM 7.0                 - Enhancement Package 2 for SAP SCM 7.0                 - Enhancement Package 3 for SAP SCM 7.0 SPs0-SPs5

          Select "SAP EWM 9. 2"-"EWM on SAP SCM" and "EWM UI Features" In MOPZ-step "Choose Add-On Products" (deselcting instance "EWM Standalone"). .........................................................  Caution: If you already have EWM 9. 0 installed in your system using TA SAINT and you don't see in SolMan-configuration an instance for EWM 9.0, but only "EWM for EHP2 FOR SAP SCM 7.0".            Exclude this instance from Verification Check in LMDB and ignore error/warning "Cannot recognize installed product instance EHP2 FOR SAP SCM 7.0 - EWM". Create MOPZ transaction for SAP SCM 7.0 ignoring error "Landscape Verification of <Product system> was not successfull" and all warnings in regard with EWM instance, as for exmaple: - Evaluate failed for product Instance EWM (EHP2 FOR SAP SCM 7.0) - Product registration of installed Add-Ons is missing! - Add-on instance SAP EWM 9.0 - EWM on SAP SCM is not compatible. - Choose an instance for the incompatible SAP EWM 9.0 - EWM on SAP SCM

You require SCMEWM 510 or SCMEWM 700 or SCMEWM 701 or SCMEWM 702  or SCMEWM 900 already installed in your system.       Update to SCMEWM 920  can be done using transaction SAINT if you have for ABAP server "Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 SPs6".       Update to SCMEWM 920 must be included in the Enhancement Package7 update of SAP ERP 6.0. for instances:                     - Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0                     - Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0                     - Enhancement Package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0                     - Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 SPs0-SPs5 Select "SAP EWM 9. 2"-"EWM on SAP ERP" and "EWM UI Features" In MOPZ-step "Choose Add-On Products" (deselcting instance "EWM Standalone")

                     Update to SAP EWM  9.2 on SAP Netweaver (EWM Standalone)

You require SCMEWM 900 or SCMEWM 910 already installed in your system.       Update to SCMEWM 920 must be included in the Enhancement Package update for instace:                     - SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3                     - SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.4 SPs0-SPs8

          Select "SAP EWM 9. 2"-"EWM Standalone" and "EWM UI Features" In MOPZ-step "Choose Add-On Products"

 

b.) Installing/upgrading SCMEMW 920 with SAINT

---------------------------------

You can run installation/update using TA SAINT if the required Support Package Stack for SAP NETWEAVER 7.4 or Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 or Enhancement Package 3 for SAP SCM 7.0 is already installed in your system:

l SAP NETWEAVER 7.4 SPs8 l Enhancement Package 3 for SAP SCM 7.0 SPs6 l Enhancement Package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 SPs6

You will need to generate STACK.XML file to install/upgrade Add-On with TA SAINT.

l Create maintenance transaction in Solution Manger and download generated stack.xml and all required packages into your installation direcory. In the add-on step of the maintenance transaction of the Maintenance Optimizer, choose product version "SAP EWM 9.2", instances " EWM on SAP ERP" or "EWM on SAP SCM" or "EWM Standalone" (for Netweaver server) / and "EWM UI Features"  

 

l If you don't have possibility to download generated stack from Download Basket and need a physical shipment of software refer to note 925690. You can use files from CD:unpack the archive in the directory <DIR_TRANS>. Load the add-on package from there into your SAP system (transaction SPAM -> "Support Package"-> "Load Packages"-> "From Front End"). All necessary packages, which are not represented on CD, but are required according to  generated stack.xml, have to be downloaded manually from Service Marketplace.

Caution: If you are going to make a new installation of SAP EWM 9.2, ensure that the upgrade packages SAPK-920BHINSCMEWM and SAPK-920BGINSCMEWMUI are not present in EPS/in.

Starting the installation: Call transaction SAINT and choose "Start". Select downloaded xml-file and choose 'Continue'. If all of the necessary conditions for importing the add-on have been fulfilled, the system will now display the relevant queue. The queue consists of the installation package, and it may also contain Support Packages and Add-On Support Packages. For more information, call transaction SAINT and choose "Info" on the application toolbar.

 

5. After installing SCMEWM 920

Implement following notes after installation/upgrade:

Importing languages after the installation: If you intend to install additional languages, we recommend that you install them before you import further Support Packages. Refer to the "Language support" section.

Importing Support Packages after the installation: Information about the Support Package stack of SAP EWM 9.2: http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks

Delivery Customizing: Delivery Customizing is imported into client 000 and may have to be copied to other clients. For more information, see Note 337623.

 

6. Known errors

ERROR: phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_FATESTS/RUN_RSDB02CK_MOD:   2EETG002 View "V_CDS_PEG_MDFA2" does not exist in the database    2EETG002 View "V_OPEN_PO_AGGR" does not exist in the database        Solution: Logon to system, TA SE14, select view, "Create" or "Activate and ajust database". Continue update.

ERROR: 2EETQ231 RFC Login failed  1EETQ399 Last error code set is 'RFC login to system <SID> ashost <...> nr <...> gwhost <...> gwservice sapgw.. failed with code 13 key RFC_INVALID_HANDLE: Invalid RFC connection handle'        Solution: change profile parameters as following: em/initial_size_MB = 1024

ERROR: phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_FATESTS/RUN_RSDB02CK_MOD  Batchjob RSDB02CK failed. Detected the following errors:  4 ETG036 Module name....: "RSDB02CK"  2EETG001 Secondary index "/BI0/9AXEXTTSTMP-001" does not exist in the database      Solution: Logon to system and activate index manually

7. Language support

l

¡ Information about supported languages can be found ion SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/PAM

¡ The languages are contained in the SCMEWM and SCMEWMUI packages. The languages are imported automatically during the installation in accordance with the standard languages installed in your SAP release. You do not need to import a language transport separately.

¡ For a subsequent language installation, proceed as described in Note 195442.
