POSTLUDE “Take My Life and Let It Be Consecrated” Havergal/Malan 1 PETER 4:8-11(NIV)

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen

CONGREGATION PLEASE STAND (AS YOU ARE ABLE)

Assisted Hearing devices and large print hymnals and bulletins are available for use during services. Please contact an usher if you would like to use one of these.

VOLUNTEER RUSH SUNDAY

Come find out about all the ways you can get involved at The Church at Litchfield Park. On Sunday, October 27, after every service until noon in Souers Hall, volunteer opportunities for all ages will be showcased. You will be able to learn about specific ministry needs and sign up if you are interested. It will also be a time to find out about ministries and committees that are social and/or service oriented. We hope to see you Sunday, October 27, in Souers Hall!

VISION TEAM

The Board of Directors recently contracted with a coach who will be helping us Re-Vision. Our coach will guide us as we develop a prayer team; potentially draft a new mission statement, core values and vision description; evaluate all current ministries (what stays, discontinues, changes and/or gets added); finalize goals and build action plans; create a timeline for accomplishing goals; and make final preparations for presenting it all to the congregation. The Vision Team members are Eric Jameson, Kristin McNamara, Steve Yamamori, Jill Tabata, Ken Martin, Marcy Clement, Al Peterson, Carrie Bemis, Joe Broski, Mari Riggins, Dick Vasiloff, Jennifer Scott, Tim Gleason, Cedric Nixon, Pastor Kerri Sandusky, and Pastor Lynne Kammeraad. On Sunday, October 27, the Vision Team will be commissioned in worship.

HALLOPALOOZA

Hallopalooza will take place on Thursday, October 31, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. in the church parking lot. We need YOU! Bring your car, a trunk full of candy, your favorite Halloween décor and your costume! When you arrive, you will receive a parking space. Then, set up your lawn chair, open your trunk (and candy bags), and wait for kids to walk through and trick-or-treat in a safe place. For those who would like to decorate their trunks, there will be a decorating contest. Hotdogs and drinks are also available for free. Last year we gave away 500 hotdogs! Invite your friends and neighbors to come and enjoy trick-or-treating and awesome costumes on the cutest kids imaginable! Please sign up for your car in the breezeway/Souers Hall.

ANNUAL ALL CHURCH PICNIC

Sunday, November 3, at 11:45 a.m. (or after the 10:45 a.m. service), the Annual All Church Picnic will be held in Souers Hall and the breezeway. There will be lawn games and fun activities in Palm Court. Pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw and drinks will be provided for this FREE event. Bring your favorite dessert to the Pot Luck Dessert Table to share with everyone! Invite your friends and neighbors to come and enjoy the fun and fellowship. Volunteers are needed for set up and clean up. Please sign up in the breezeway/Souers Hall if you are able to assist. For more information contact the church office at (623) 935-3411.

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION

The Church at Litchfield Park is hosting its first ever Community Veterans Day Celebration on Sunday, November 10, at 3:00 pm in the Sanctuary, with overflow seating in Souers Hall if necessary. While we still plan on briefly recognizing our veterans in worship that morning, this entire afternoon celebration is going to specifically focus on our celebrating all of our veterans. This celebration will begin with the posting of the colors; a prayer of thanksgiving for our veterans; followed by special musical presentations by The Church at Litchfield Park’s chancel choir, bell choirs, worship team, and 4C choir; a brief reflection by a special guest; and conclude with the singing of the National Anthem and retiring of the colors. Refreshments following this community-wide celebration will be served by our own Troop 99. Please be sure to invite your friends, family members, and neighbors to this first ever grand celebration!
