After completing this module, the participant should be able to:

HopperManager software to connect to the link equipment.

- Describe the shortcuts provided by the HopperManager toolbar,list the type of messages from the status bar and describe themenu in general terms.

- Explain how to carry out commissioning by making use of thecommissioning wizard and setting the link parameters andsettings in accordance with the Link Deployment Form.

- Describe how to configure identifications and settings of thenetwork elements.

- Describe in general terms how cross-connections are set usingHopperManager and explain where the TruMan managersoftware is required.

- List the actions to be taken to confirm satisfactory linkoperation.

- Describe the AUX data PIU and features.

- Describe equipment management by Q1, TCP/IP and SNMP.

- Describe how to manage alarms and explain the meaning of the service LEDs.
