Editorial IS YOUR STREET NAMED?
I n th e l ast i s s u e w e r an a pro gr es s story on the project of getting official house numbers for al l s t r e es and roads of this community.
It was pointed out by T.L. Yakel, in charge of this planning work, th at s ome 5 0 sm aller l an e s and roads are still not named, at least legally.
We SU£gest that residents of such thrr·oughfares suggest.at least three names so the county may assign one that will not conflict. When .this is done, they will erect signs, and your road will be included on the new map and receive house numbers.
It is regrettable that at presstime very few residents have written in to the Sun suggesting a name for such roads. May we remind you that you had better get busy right now and submit names if you want the facility of house numbers.
This is very important for many reasons such as fire, police, doctor and other e merg e nc y , a lso for utilities, deliveryman and so on, in addition to your friends being able to find you. Why not do this at once? -CI
