    In 2003, according to The World Bank (WorldBank 2004) the population of the globe stood ataround 630 billion people.

    Of these roughly half lived on less than $2(app.Rs.90/-) per day.

    Over 100 Crore suffered from malnutrition, Over 100 Crore lacked potable water, and 240 Crore did not have access to proper

    sanitation. As a result the Bank estimated that more than 1
