Monday 26th 2017 Term 2 Week 10

Welcome to week 10.

Oh how quickly this term has gone! Thank you everyone for your contribution to our learning and sporting opportunities- we have enjoyed a very busy term with many achievements and successes being celebrated.

A big thank you to the anonymous family who donated funds for the new buddy seat! This seat looks beautiful in our playground and is a valuable addition to the student welfare programs that we run in our classrooms.

It is with much sadness that the staff and students have to say goodbye to our school cleaner Chris Smith. I do not have enough space here to go in to detail about how absolutely wonderful Chris is and what a dedicated and willing worker she has been for our school. Chris will be greatly missed as she is not only a hardworking member of our school but a dear friend who helps to look after the wellbeing of our staff and students- always has a smile and always ready and willing to do above and beyond- thank you Chris and our very best wishes to you and your family for the future!

I hope all students return on Tuesday 18th July healthy and plaster free!

Enjoy a good rest.

Lyn Barnes Principal.

Slow down to 40 when bus lights flash

We are seeking to highlight for parent and carers the need to always supervise their children and hold their hand when walking to and from the bus stop or interchange and when crossing the road and also about the need not to call their children across the road. We are seeking to highlight for drivers the laws around bus flashing lights. Lights flash on the front and back of a bus when the bus is picking up or setting down school children. A 40km/h speed limit applies when bus lights flash. Be Bus Aware All information relating to the ‘Be Bus Aware’ Slow down to 40 campaigns is available on Be Bus Aware website.
