Production Name: Stover Golf Club promotional video

Date of filming: 28/09/2016

Members of productions: Jamie Cook, Mobile: 07876 540529

Address: Stover golf club, TQ12 6QQ, Bovey Tracey Road, Newton Abbot

Location #1: Stover golf club, Pro Shop

The pro shop will be use in the video to subtly advertise the pro-shop and the items they sell.

The shots will include a pan of the store for 1 to 2 seconds and a shot of the counter staff perhaps smiling at the customer/s and handing them some golf equipment, which implies that the customer bought some golf equipment and is happy with their purchase.

The camera will be positioned near the corner of the checkout counter placed on a tripod and the other shot on a slider for a pan shot.

Location #2 Stover Golf Club, Lounge

The Lounge will be used to show off the quality of food that Stover Golf Club provides with a group of people, male and female, sat around, eating and enjoying the food.

The shots will include a high angle shot of the customers eating and enjoying their meal, close up of someone biting into a cake or a piece of their meal. A shot of a server smiling bringing the meal to the customers. The estimated time for this scene will be around 8 – 10 seconds of the video.

The camera will be positioned near the appropriate table on a tripod, moving around the table to capture different angles. It may be positioned on a Fig Rig if that would be more convenient.

Location #3 Stover Golf Club, Bar

The bar may be used as a transition from the golf course into the lounge and dining room portion of the video.

The shot may include a close up of a pint being poured into a glass. Which will last around 1 second.

The camera will be hand held or placed on a Fig Rig and will be filmed from behind the bar.

Location #4 Stover Golf Club, Kitchen

The kitchen will be used to show that Stover Golf Club has nothing to hide in their kitchen and that it’s clean, the chefs are well trained and are able to cook at a very high standard.

The scene will last around 6 seconds with a mid-shot of the chef and a close up of him cooking a steak or a fish in a pan.

The scene will be filmed when the Kitchen is very quiet when practically no one is ordering so we don’t get in the way of the chefs when they are cooking for customers. So around 10 – 11am or 3 – 4pm

The scene can be filmed handheld to not take up too much space, and to have that cooking channel type of style to the scene.

Location #5 Stover Golf Club, Changing rooms

The Changing rooms will be used as one of the opening shots of one of the golfers putting his shoes on and it will be used as subtle information that Stover has a changing room that people can bring spare clothes to.

The scene would be 3 – 4 seconds long maybe starting with a long shot/pan of someone putting their golf shoe on, followed by a close up of that shot.

The camera will be positioned on a slider for the first shot and then a tripod for the second shot. The slider will be leaning against the door like it is peaking in so would recommend to film this side when the changing rooms are empty.

Location #6 Stover Golf Club, Picnic area

The Picnic area can be used as one of the transition shots to the dining room scenes also it would be great to capture a group of people perhaps clinging glasses under the “Stover Golf Club” sign against the wall so we can subtly get the audience to remember the name “Stover golf club” using repetition tactics.

This scene would last 1 – 2 seconds with a low angle shot or a mid-shot or any shot to capture both the customers and the sign in the shot.

Camera will be positioned outside on a tripod near the far left bench in the picture above.

Location #7 Stover Golf Club, outside the building

This location would be used as an establishing shot for one of the first scenes of the video.

The scene can be filmed as a pan shot going up to the building or down or depending on the position of the sun we could do a time-lapse of the sunrise going above the building. Sunrise at Newton Abbot from 23/09/2016 starts rising at 07:04 am.

Camera will be positioned outside the building on flat land and depending on the shot a spare camera will be left there for around 30 minutes. Or you can capture the twilight at dawn at around 5:30 am to 6:00 am.

Location #8 Stover Golf Club, Practice area

This Location can be used for perhaps an establishing shot or can be used as an area to capture extreme close ups of the equipment being used etc.

The camera can be positioned on a tripod or Fig Rig for steady footage of the equipment.

Location #9 Stover Golf Club, Putting range

The putting range can be used as a short scene of the golfers practicing their putting, perhaps filmed against the sun to capture some silhouettes or as a short scene to just explore Stover Golf Course area and land.

This scene will be 1 - 2 seconds long and can be a long or a mid-shot.

The camera will be placed on a tripod if there is not flat land then on a Fig-Rig or maybe a slider.

Location #10 Stover Golf Club, Golf course (Lake)

The lake can be used as an area to show off friendship and fun of golf with two golfers shaking hands smiling at each other with the lake in the background as a mid-shot. Or as one of the establishing shot with the sun reflecting off the water.

The scene will be around 2 – 3 seconds long.

Due to the lack of flat land on the Golf course a tripod will not be used most likely so the camera can be placed on a Fig-Rig to capture smooth video.

Location #11 Stover Golf Club, Sand pit and Bridge

The sand pit can be used to capture a shot of a golfer hitting a golf ball out of the sandpit capturing the sand rising up. The bridge can be used to capture perhaps a golfer couple walking across the bridge as a new little shot to fill up time.

The scenes will be around 3 – 4 seconds long and can be there for footage for the voice over to go over.

Also we can film the lake placing the camera on the bridge looking over it.

Camera will be placed on a fig rig or tripod depending on the amount of flat land.

Location #12 Stover Golf Club, Forest

Judging from location I imagine this is where the deer will tend to come out from and if we are able to capture one on camera it would make a nice opening shot with the light of dawn shining upon it.

The scene would be around 2 seconds long and will be a close-up of the deer eating some grass or hopping around.

In order not to scare the wildlife away the camera will have to be handheld or on a Fig-Rig for steady control unless we set up the tripod beforehand and then wait for the wildlife to come.

You can attract some deer using deer bait if you wish but may be hard to keep the bait out of the video.
