Gofal has been providing mental health and wellbeing services to people in Wales since 1990. We have come a long way since our first services opened in Bridgend, supporting the resettlement of people from the long stay psychiatric wards of Parc and Penyfal hospitals into homes in the community. We now operate across eleven local authorities in Wales and over 2,000 people use our services every year.

GofalProject Coordinators

Location: Oakdale Office bases (with requirement to work from other locations)

Salary: £24,240 per annum.

Contract: 1 x Permanent – 1 x 12month maternity cover

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Holidays: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Holidays increase by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum of 30 days.

Pension: Pension in the form of a money purchase pension scheme:6.5% paid if employee contributes 2% or more

The roles: .

Gwent:Both Project Co-ordinators will be leading teams to deliver Tenancy Support Services providing housing related support to individuals experiencing accommodation difficulties, support to sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness. This will include providing a service that is accessible, preventative and responsive to the needs of the individual providing advice and support to people to live within the community, manage their mental health and wellbeing through recovery model of support.

The full time Project Co-ordinator post will be managing our services covering Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen.The 12month Maternity post will be managing our service in Caerphilly.

Role Expectations

Post: Project Coordinator

Reporting to: Head of Services

Location: Oakdale, Gwent Offices

Job Purpose:

To lead a team in supporting service users in moving towards independent living in a recovery orientated way, in line with the services operational plan in your area.

To contribute to the development of project services within your area, in liaison with the senior management team

To ensure service excellence through motivation and inspiration of team members

To support organisation-wide initiatives through contribution of skills, knowledge and experience

Role Expectations:

Lead a team in the achievement of the operational plan, inspiring and motivating team members in the delivery of excellent service.

Manage referrals into the service.

Lead on regular review of the service, and implement a plan of continual service improvement.

Promote a culture and lead on local initiatives which put service user needs and interests at its centre and aim to be inclusive of all stakeholders.

Ensure that accountabilities and responsibilities are clear for all line reports, and provide effective line management, support and supervision, ensuring team members work within set guidelines and meet objectives.

Lead on proper implementation of relevant policy, procedure and systems and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Implement change in the service, including managing the impact on individuals within the team.

Lead on and draw up support plans and action plans, and develop Senior, Support and Case Workers in their delivery.

Take responsibility for day to day management of the local budget, ensuring that decisions are made which balance cost with quality and service user benefits.

Ensure service users are actively involved in shaping the support they receive and the wider activities of the organisation.

Lead on, draw up and review risk assessments and management plans, involving Senior, Support and Case Workers, service users and external professionals.

Develop strong relationships with external partners and commissioners which benefit service users, using skills of communication and negotiation where required.

Actively assist service users’ ability to access other services, to promote their independence.

Actively seek opportunities to collaborate with other agencies in the development of the service.

Ensure all service user information is recorded accurately and where relevant shared with colleagues inside and external to Gofal.

Devise and implement reporting systems, and work within organisational guidelines, providing regular reports on statistics, needs and views of people accessing the service.

Lead the team is using organisational IT systems, including case files, internal communications and external reporting, and regularly review the quality of reports.

Participate fully in the on call management rota.
