BLESSING DAY FOR PRE PRIMARY WING

On 04.04.2019 the new buds of Pre-Primary, Nursery and K.G. were warmly welcomed into the portal of Vidya Bharati School for a day packed with beguilement amidst the splendidly decorated school campus.

Special welcome assembly was organized to make an atmosphere so that they can feel the school campus as their second home.

Kids were really very excited when their favourite cartoons characters welcomed them on the very first day of their school. They were thrilled to watch cartoon movies their giggles filled the atmosphere.

With smile on their face and a craft sample in their hands, the students concluded the first day of their school on a joyful note and set the pace for everyday at VBS, to be as fun filled as Fun Day.

AWAKENED CITIZEN PROGRAMMEDate : 5th & 6th April, 2019

Two days workshop was conducted by the Members of Rama Krishna Mission on 5 th and 6th April, 2019 and was attended by Ms. Reena Mahant, Ms. Akanksha Bhatia, Ms. Neeti Varma, Ms. Kamini Sharma and Ms. Shruti Seth. The programme has been developed and based on Swami Vivekanand’s teaching and preaching to ensure high quality and enables the students to discover and accept values which the need of an hour in this materialistic world.

First day an interactive and informative session was conducted for teachers to provide an introduction to the programme material and provide insight into effective facilitation practices. Teachers were trained to open the minds of children and enable them to discover values as per the programme there are eighteen possibilities that needs to be highlighted in our students. Eighteen possibilities comprises of Universal Possibilities, Unique Possibilities, and Unique Physical Possibilities.

Each of the eighteen possibilities were made clear to the teachers first and on second day teachers were made clear the best facilitation practice for this programme, DART is one of the technique . Teachers were motivated to start this progamme in their school with full zeal and enthusiasm as this is a unique value education programme for children of the secondary level which aims to manifest moral values in each and every children of the country. This programme is a powerful medium to harness the infinite potential within an individual.

ATAL TINKERING COMMUNITY DAY WORKSHOP

Time/Day/Date: 10 AM to 1 PM, Sunday, 14/4/19

The workshop of ATAL Tinkering Lab was organised in Bal Bharati Public School, Brij Vihar. Students were given training in the following areas.

Introduction to Tinkering Need of Critical Thinking Jugads and Tinkering Concept of designing through role play How to get copy writes?

Through motivational examples students understood:

The importance of critical thinking and importance of new ideas. It provided opportunity for the development of the constructive, explorative and

inventive faculties of the students.

Objective: The Atal Tinkering Lab Community Drive Initiative is aimed at maximizing the impact of Atal Tinkering Labs by extending innovation to children in the community who do not have access to formal educational institutions. The purpose of this initiative is to provide these children with the same educational tools as the students in Atal Tinkering Labs to enable them to become problem solvers. The NGOs participating in these interactions include organizations working with disabled children, street and working children, and girls from the weaker sections of society.

It also aims at inculcating scientific values, attitude among school students.

EARTH DAY– 2019-20

To enjoy the lovely smell of fresh air, contact with the soil and companionship with nature, keeping this in mind Pre Primary wing of Vidya Bharati School celebrated Earth Day on 22rd April 2019.

The objectives of celebrating Earth Day was to learn about environment, to get acquainted with the importance of growing and watering plants, to widen their fine motor and socio emotional skills and to develop their communication skills.

Students of Pre Nursery to Grade I performed this activity in the school garden. They sowed seeds of different plants into the pots. They got a chance to interact with thenature. They were taught about the importance of plants and the methods of growing.Students were very excited and contented while watering the plants. Later a talk was conducted in the classes so that every child can come out with his environment friendly ideas of Saving Earth.

It was quite a motivating activity as the children were able to get close to the nature. Itprovided the children an opportunity to break through their usual routine and experiencesomething which was out of their boxes. The children were made aware that Every Day Is An Earth Day and the purpose of celebrating Earth Day is to help to keep our grass green and our skies blue with more trees and less pollution.

WORKSHOP ON ROBOTICS

A workshop was organised by the school on Robotics for grade IV & V students in the auditorium. In the Workshop the concept of Robotics was introduced to the students. It had a fun filled exercise which was also a great learning for the students and the best way of enabling students to discover Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

Robotics is a branch of technology that deals with the making, programming, and designing of robots. Robotics Kit consisting of gear motors, wheels, indunio board IR sensor modules, Battery etc were provided to the students for their hands-on in order to get familiar with STEM concepts by letting them make their own crane robot. The students were divided into small groups and the organisers showed them the concept by handing them Robotic Kits and guiding them to assemble and let them make their own robots.

It was a fun way for the kids to get familiar with this new non text book concept. The students actively participated in the activity and were very excited to make their own working robots.

The purpose of the workshop was to smoothen their journey in the field of robotics and to provide a technical platform right from the grass root level keeping in mind to enhance creativity, importance of team work, sense of accomplishment and confidence.

This competition was devised with a view of bringing awareness and instilling the thought of restoring the environment.

To develop overall creativity of the child To enrich student’s engagement in a constructive way. To develop competitive spirit among the students.

Highlights:

All the students participated enthusiastically. Students showcased their creativity and artistic skills by making beautiful paper bags and

decorating them vibrantly. They used different materials to decorate the bags. They channelized their energy in a positive and creative way. The judges enjoyed judging the competition as the activity was done with a lot of

enthusiasm and effort.

Analysis:

This activity inspired students to think and work creatively in order to promote artistic excellence. This competition was a perfect platform for the creative minds to meet their colourful desire and imagination.

Interschool competition “Expression 2019” was organised in Bal Bharati Public School. Various competitions for students were held -

Scrap to Science Landscape on Canvas Pot Decoration Around the Globe Sanskriti Geet Gayan

Overall there were over 27 schools who all participated in the event which had a total of 28 competitions. 55 students of our school participated in 22 various competitions. Our students actively participated and could be seen outshining everybody. The highlights for our school were Dikshant Kumar who got First Prize in Landscape on Canvas and Students of Class V got Third Prize in Sanskriti Geet Gayan.

Objective: 

Our school encourages our students to enhance their extracurricular skills and this is one step towards it. The students participated in the Inter school Competition organized in Bal Bharati Public School in various aspects of activities. This platform was provided to students to share the best practices across schools and learn from them. Our students interacted with students of other schools and got a glimpse of their mindset & caliber. This was a very good opportunity for students to come of their shell and do something more than what is expected of them. The students performed really well in all the activities and made the school proud.

Good manners cost us nothing, but may win almost everything. Keeping this in mind Pre Primary wing of Vidya Bharati School celebrated "Let's learn Courtesy words day".

The students from Pre Nursery to Grade I participated in this activity. The objectives of this activity were to teach the children golden rule that they should treat others the way they want to be treated and encouraged the students to lead an ideal and disciplined life. Students made beautiful captions of various courtesy words as Please, May I help you, I am sorry, It's my pleasure etc. The students enacted the importance of the courtesy words through small play.

This activity involved learning moral values by the children coupled in an interesting manner. The children have the ability to grasp things easily when they are taught to them in an interesting manner.

With their exemplary performance, students of VIdya Bharati School not only brought laurel for the School but make the city proud. As many as 83 students made their mark in IEO, NSO, NMO, ISSO and Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad by winning several medals in various categories.

Dr. Manjusha Joshi (Principal) congratulated the students for their achievement and wished them the best for their future.

All the successful students were felicitated in a special assembly at the School for their remarkable performance and achievement.
