LOU-Board: The lightest and fastest electric skateboard in its class
Zurich, January 22, 2018 –Swiss based company, SoFlow AG, presents a broad and sophisticated product range at ISPO with their dynamic line of electric scooters and e-boards. SoFlow products make the "last mile" the "best mile of transportation" and their newest product addition, the LOU board is a game changer. Weighing only four kilograms, the LOU electric skateboard is the lightest, thinnest, fastest, and most maneuverable e-board in its class. Its owners glide silently and effortlessly up to 28 kilometers at speeds up to 35 km / h. Following a successful launch of LOU in the US, SoFlow is now targeting Germany.
At first glance, LOU looks like a regular skateboard, but appearance is deceptive. LOU is the Scottish word for love, and that is exactly what riders can expect: love for skating, love for speed and love for the latest technology. Inside the carbon-crafted deck hides an extremely powerful battery. Depending on the model, the LOU is powered by one, respectively two hub motors located in the wheels. In the Pro version, it reaches a top speed of 35 km/h, making it the fastest skateboard in its class. Thanks to the latest developments in battery and drive technology, the LOU can quietly ride up to 28 kilometers on a two hour battery charge. From the outside, it is hard to tell that this sleek board is arguably the most powerful electric skateboard, boasting maximum stability and a lightweight carbon fiber body.
LOU is both fun and practical. As a so-called "last mile vehicle" it is particularly suitable for commuters, making the urban journey quicker and easier. LOU will help the urban commuter bridge the gap between the parking lot or the train station and the office effortlessly. The decisive advantage of LOU is thanks to its small size and its lightweight of only four kilograms, it can easily be taken on the train and stowed away at the workplace. It can be worn safely and stylishly in the backpack, specially designed for the LOU. In addition, LOU also feels at home in the skate park. It was developed with skaters for skaters yet it is easy to maneuver even for inexperienced riders. It is controlled by the included handheld remote control and can be customized for the rider with a variety of settings found in the specially designed
smartphone app. Depending on the model, LOU boards cost between 390 to 990 euros retail.
