Welcome and Announcements

Gathering Hymn…….…………Christ Is Alive…..…..……...#389

Christ is alive! Let Christians sing. The cross stands empty to the sky. Let streets and homes with praises ring. Love, drowned in death, shall never die.

Christ is alive! No longer bound to distant years in

Palestine, but saving, healing, here and now, and

touching ev’ry place and time.

In ev’ry insult, rift, and war, where color, scorn, or

wealth divide, Christ suffers still, yet loves the more,

and lives, where even hope has died.

Women and men, in age and youth, can feel the Spirit,

hear the call, and find the way, the life, the truth,

revealed in Jesus, freed for all.

Christ is alive, and comes to bring good news to this and

every age, till earth and sky and ocean ring with joy, with

justice, love, and praise.

Greeting and Prayer of the Day (Please rise as you are able) L: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. C: And also with you. L: Let us pray in unison the Prayer of the Day: C: Bountiful God, you gather your people in your realm, and you promise us food from your tree of life.

Nourish us with your word, that empowered by your

Spirit we may love one another and the world you have made, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen. (You may

Lord, I lift your name on high; Lord, I love to sing your praises. I’m so glad you’re in my life, I’m so glad you came to save us. You came from heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross, my debt to pay, from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky; Lord, I lift your name on high.

“Go, my children, sins forgiven, at peace and pure. Here you learned how much I love you, what I can cure. Here you heard
