The Sixteenth Century Society Conference, Bruges, Belgium, 18-20 August 2016

The Samuel H. Kress Foundation stipulates that papers topics must cover antiquity to the early 19th century only.

Applicants must be members of the IAS at the time of application and upon receipt of the award, and may not have received an IAS award in the previous two years. IAS officers and

committee members are not eligible to apply.

Application Deadline 15 April 2016

Please send the following as a single WORD document only (with last name in title) via e-mail to the IAS President, Sheryl Reiss, at president@italianartsociety.org:

a cover letter indicating your IAS membership status a current 2-page C.V. your paper abstract with IAS session title and chair contact information a preliminary budget including airfare and lodging information only a description of other possible travel funding sources (and their likelihood of success)

Notifications will be made by May 15, 2016. Funding must be used within the 2016 calendar year and a final report indicating actual expenses must be submitted to the IAS Treasurer and IAS President by 31 December 2016. Application deadlines for IAS-Kress travel grants for ICMS (Kalamazoo), RSA, and CAA will be due in sum/fall 2016.
