Reception visit to Kidzania On Friday the 28th April, Acorn and Willow classes visited Kidzania. We
had to travel to Westfield by bus and we had our lunch there, it was all
very exciting!
We got the chance to role-play different jobs such as firefighters, police
officers and nurses. “I went to the chocolate factory and made chocolate
using milk and cocoa. The best bit was taking it home.” (Laura, Willow) I
was wiping windows and I cleaned a hotel and then I got to mess it up so
other people could have a turn, best school trip ever!

Year 6 trip to Linford Christy Stadium for Junior Citizens
It all started when Year 6 were privileged enough to go to the Linford Christy stadium. When we got there we were split into groups, for example team 1, 2, and 3 all the way up to team 9. Each activity was about health & safety in relation to different practical areas of life; like taking a tube; taking a bus; etc. The activities were varied, one was about how to react to a fire and another was about whole food and how it’s good for us - also about how to identify the healthy options! We learnt a lot in the time we were there and we will take on board everything we discovered as it will help us in our later life! Before we knew it we had to head home, it was so interesting we didn’t realise how fast the time went. By Eline McCormack & Alexandra Worley, Class 6B

Year 1 visit the Wetland Centre
We went to The Wetland Centre on 25th May so thought you might like a little snippet from our trip. Year 1 visited The Wetland Centre to support their Animals Including Humans topic in Science. 'We went bird spotting and saw lots of beautiful birds. There were lots of different colours and sizes. One tried to eat my lunch!' 'I liked the adventure park because we could run around and hide in the tunnels like insects.' 'We hunted for mini-beasts and talked about what they looked like. My group found a bumble bee, it looked really fluffy'. By Miss Watson
Year 5 Samba Dancing
At the Samba workshop we all split up into groups and we got
assigned unstruments to play and go along with a tune. We
played instruments such as the agogo bells, drums, rain shakers
and many others. By the end of the session we became a band
that could do a Samba song and lots of different tunes.
It was so interesting to learn how to play lots of different Samba
instruments and we had a fun time learning all of the songs.
We are very grateful to have had this opportunity.

Drum Concert & Workshops for Year 4 & 5
I went with my class to an amazing music workshop in the hall.
The musicians explained to us all about the instruments and the
type of sounds they make. We all had a chance to play the
instruments and then we played rhythm games with drumsticks. It
was so much fun.
In the afternoon all of Year 4 and 5 came downstairs for a
concert. The musicians played all of the instruments for us and
they were amazing. It was the best concert I’ve ever heard. All of
Year 4 & 5 really enjoyed the concert and at the end we all
cheered really loudly.

Year 4 Trip to Westminster Cathedral to perform “Noah & the Floating Zoo”
The whole of Year 4 were lucky enough to take part in a special concert organised by the Westminster Cathedral Choir School. We
travelled to Victoria on the tube in our costumes. As we were all animals in Noah’s zoo we got to wear an animal headband and a top the
same colour as our animal.
We were all so excited about singing in Westminster Cathedral as we have been practising since January, it was thrilling to sing on the
altar of the Cathedral with all of our parents watching us. The conductor was really happy with us and said we should all be really
proud of ourselves.

Year 5 and 6 Girls Cricket Tournament
On Wednesday 7th June 11 girls from Year 5 and 6 went to a
cricket tournament at Shepherds Bush Cricket Club. We arrived
and were put into 3 groups of 4 teams in which we played 3
matches each. The first team we played were St Stephens, it was a
fun, tight match. After that, we played Green School, again it was
a tight match but we won. The next match was super competitive
against Good Shepherd. Sadly, we didn't get through to the semi-
finals so we played a friendly match against Brackenbury instead.

Year 4 Gaelic Football Competition
There were about 200 children from schools from West London at
the Tir Chonaill Gaels GAA centre in Greenford. Our team was
made up of boys and girls and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
If you scored over the bar you got 2 points and if you scored under
the bar you got 1 point. I, (Thomas) got a prize because I scored
most of our goals.
Sadly we didn't win but it was such a great day out and we had a
packed lunch!
