NOTIFICATIONNew Delhi. the 16th April. 2019

G.S.R. 310(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-seclion (I) read with clause (b) of sub-section (2)of section 39 of the National Food Security Act, 2013 (20 of 20 13). the CentTal Government hereby makes the follwoingrules further 10 amend the Mid-Day Meal Rules, 20 IS, namely:-

1. Short tiUe and commenccrnent.--{I) These rules may be called the Mid-Day Meal (Amemndment)Rules, 20l9_

(2) They sball come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Ga7.ettc.

2. In the Mid-Day Meal Rules, 2015, in rule 5, for sub-rule (2), the fotlwoing sub-rule shall besubstituted. namely:-

"(2) Every school shall have the facility for COOking meal in hygienic manner. Schools in urban areamay usc tbe facility of centralised kitchens for cooking meaL~ wberever required in accordance with theguidelincs issued by the Central Government and the meal shall be served to the children at respectiveschool only".
