With more dynamic seating and a television highlighting Library programs and announcements, the improved lobby has seen increased use, and has elicited many positive comments from patrons. The lobby was improved thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the North Vancouver District Public Library through their “Excite Your Library Experience” fundraising campaign. Genealogical Research Toolsyes, the Library has that!

Are you interested in genealogy? North Vancouver District Public Library now subscribes to Ancestry Library Edition.

This popular research tool, offering the most comprehensive genealogical information available online, makes it easy for you to search for your ancestors.

Using Ancestry Library Edition you can access birth,

marriage, death, immigration and military records, as well as ships’ passenger lists, and images and indexes for Canadian, UK and US census records. Plus connect with other users to share information, and view a growing number of photos and family trees.

Ancestry Library Edition is available on computers in all three branches of NVDPL. The tool is for in-library use only.
