The Bible tells us that “God is love” (1 John 4:8). He is the all-powerful Spirit of love who created the universe and brought us all into being.

In the beginning, there were no people. No animals. No flowers. There was only God.

Бог сказал: «Да будет свет», – и появился свет.

Бог отделил его от тьмы. Бог назвал свет днем, а тьму – ночью.

God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light.

God divided the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness night.

На Второй день, Бог отделил воду под сводом от воды над ним. Бог назвал свод небом.

On the second day, God said, “Let the waters be divided, and let there be sky.” And that is what happened.

На третий день, сказал Бог: «Да соберутся вместе воды под небом, и да появится суша», и стало так.

«Да произведет земля растительность: растения и различные виды деревьев на земле, которые приносят плод», – сказал Бог, и стало так.

On the third day, God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered together so that dry land will appear.” And it happened.

Then God said, “Let the earth grow grass, plants and fruit trees.”

На четвертый день, Бог создал два великих светила – большое светило, чтобы управлять днем, и малое светило, чтобы управлять ночью, а также Он создал звезды.

On the fourth day, God made two great lights. He made the sun for the day and the moon for the night. He also made the stars.

На пятый день, Бог создал огромных морских чудищ, разные виды движущейся живности, кишащей в воде, и разные виды крылатых птиц. И увидел Бог, что это хорошо.

Потом Бог благословил их и сказал: «Плодитесь и размножайтесь, наполняйте воды в морях, и пусть птицы множатся на земле».

On the fifth day, God created all the many living things in the sea and the birds that fly in the air. And God saw that this was good.

God then blessed all the living things in the sea and told them to multiply and fill the seas. He also blessed the birds on land and told them to multiply and fill the skies.

На шестой день, сказал Бог: «Да произведет земля разные виды живности: скот, пресмыкающихся и диких зверей», и стало так.

On the sixth day, God said “Let there be all kinds of animals – wild animals, tame animals and small creatures.” And that is what happened.

Потом Бог сотворил мужчина и женщина и благословил их.

Then God made a man and a woman, and blessed them.

К седьмому дню Бог закончил труд, который Он совершал, и на седьмой день Он отдыхал от всех Своих дел.

By the seventh day God had finished his work, and so he rested.
