I think music is a pretty sound that is created by people and yes, there is history behind the music because in the 60s they used different instruments so the sound it was different. for example the acients Greeks used Harps but now we used guitars, drums and other musical instruments.

Jazz music originated solely in the United States. It is a distinctly and uniquely different style of music. Jazz music can be considered a musical collision of American and African cultures. It evolved out of three centuries of cultural and racial conflicts, meaning a clash of the more subdued dominant culture and the more powerful subculture.Jazz is composed primarily of four musical elements: melody, harmony, rhythm and tone color. However, harmony does not play such a powerful role in the evolving of the music itself. The melody, rhythm and tone color make up the primary elements of jazz. This style began in the 1890's as brass band performances of gospel songs and marches. With this came along the formation of the bigbands, such as the great jazz pianist and bandleader William Basie. Mr. Basie's band, known as the Count Basie Orchestra, was famous for the driving beat considered to be the epitome of the swing feel. The core of jazz music has not changed that much since it began all those many years ago. The framework is still there and always will be. However, the surface will change, as in the different styles that have evolved over the years. The deep down earthy tones, melody and rhythm have made jazz music what it is today and has enlisted memories in all of what it once was.

Like any musical genre, it's hard to pinpoint that time and place where it actually began. But unlike any other musical genre, Punk rock was started as a deliberate reaction to the mass commercialism of music. In the year 2000, it's common to see someone "being A punk," rather than seeing someone "be punk."

In the late 60's and early 70's, the music industry rang eerily familiar in its method of promoting trends over music. The public was being spoon-fed music that corporations simply intended to make a profit from. The backlash to this came to be known internationally as Punk rock. Malcolm McLaren has an indelible role in the history of punk rock, either beloved or hated for his managerial skills. In February of 1975, the New York Dolls, once a forerunner in punk, tried to revive a lagging career by hiring McLaren as their new manager. Understanding the value of shock, McLaren took the band and reintroduced them as born again communists. They draped themselves in communist flags and said catchy phrases like"better red than dead.

The hip-hop was born in early 1970 in New York, specifically Brooklyn, a group of talented and imaginative dj. Through experimentation began to lay the foundation for an entirely new genre. The Grandmaster Flash and Kool Dj Herc are now considered two of the founders of this eminently sound. One of the key features was the lengthening of the breaks (young rhythm sections) of the disks thus making the sound more dancing and ... uplifting. The widespread use of these breaks later led to the evolution of mixing, scratching the discovery and dissemination of remixes. As the fame of hip-hop began to spread, many artists began to speak "sang" on the music and became known as MC's or emcees. The Melle Mel, a member of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, was the first who called himself MC, giving name to this property.

In mid-1949, Billboard magazine began a chart listing for “Rhythm & Blues.” The magazine could have as easily listed this as “Rock & Roll,” because within six years, much of rhythm & blues was rock & roll. Blues, gospel, swing, boogie woogie, rhythm & blues, rock & roll – the last in all of its permutations; call it a blending, a transition, a hybridization, maybe even a genetic modification; this is the progression of the music.
