The installation of sewage treatment plant (STP) and adequacy of disposal system (including adequate storage capacity in case of failure of sewage treatment plant and compliance of condition no. 3(ii), 3(iii) & 3 (iv) below) should be certified by Punjab Pollution Control Board and a report in this regard should be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Forest/ State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority before the project is commission for operation. The discharge of treated sewage shall conform to the norms and standards prescribed by Punjab Pollution Board and any other Statutory Authority for such discharses. We have installed sewerage treatment plant. The report of treated sewage is attached as Annexure I. ll. The project proponent shall nrake adequate arrangement for discharge of treated wastewater on to land for irrigation till -it obtains sewerage connection from the Municipal Authority. Treated water from STP is used for horticulture & flushing purposes and remaining are used in plants using the Karnal Technology. III. The project proponent shall provide proper distribution network for discharge of treated wastewater on to land for irrigation. It is complied. lv. The project proponent shall provide storage capacity of at least 30 days period for storage of treated wastewater during no demand period. It is complied. v. Adequate drinking water facility based on Reverse Osmosis treatment technology be provided. The ground water quality at site is fit for human consumption and do not require any pretreatment before use. So, RO treatment is not required, which will unnecessarily result in wastage of water. A ground water quality report is attached as Annexure II. vt. Rainwater harvesting for roof run-off and surface run- off should be implemented. VIII.The solid waste generated should be properly collectedand segregated before disposal to City MunicipalFacility. The in- vessel bio compost technique shouldbe used for composting the organic waste priorcompetent authoritv should be obtained.

Adequate affangements for proper collectionand segregation of solid wastes are providedbefore vermicomposting.

tx.Hazardous waste/Biomedical waste should be disposedoff as per applicable Rules and norms with necessaryapprovals of the Punjab Pollution Control Board.

There is only used lube oil as hazardouswastes. The used oil is disposed off toauthorized recyclers.

x.The green belt design along the periphery of the plotshall achieve attenuation factor conforming to the dayand night noise standards prescribed for residentialland use. The open spaces inside the plot should besuitably landscaped and covered with vegetation ofindigenous variety.

We have developed green belt so as tominimize the noise level within its residentialarea. We have developed more than25Yo of thearea as green belt area. A noise quality reportis attached as Annexure III.

xI.The project proponent shall tzike adequate andappropriate measures to contain the ambient air qualitywithin the prescribed standards.

Adequate measures have been taken to containthe air quality with-in the prescribed limits. Anambient air quality report is attached as

Annexure IV.

xlI.The ambient air quality, noise and water quality shouldbe periodically monitored after commissioning of theproject as per the requirement of Ministry ofEnvironment and Forest/ Punjab Pcillution controlBoard.

Agreed. The ambient air quality, noise andwater quality are periodically monitored.Reports are already attached as Annexure II,Annexure III & Annexure IV.

xlIt.Application of solar energy should be incorporated forillumination of common areas, lighting for gardens andstreet lighting in addition to provision for solar waterheating.

Solar lights have been installed forillumination of garden and street areas.

xtv.The Project Proponent will provide adequate parkingas per the statutory requirement of local authority/DTP/District Administration.

Adequate parking has been provided.

xv.Traffic congestion near the entry and exit points fromthe roads adjoining the proposed project site must beavoided. Parking should be fully internalized and nopublic space should be utilized.

There is not any traffic congestion at the entryand exit points and parking is strictly containedin the parking area only.

xvl.A report on the energy conservation measuresconforming to energy conservation norTns finalized byBureau of Energy Efficiency should be preparedincorporating details about machinery of airconditioning, lifts lighting building materials, R & UFactors etc. and subrrritted to the Ministry ofEnvironment & Forest in three months time.

Preventive measures will be followed as andwhen required.

xvllOzone Depleting Substance (Regulation & Control)Rules be followed while designing the air conditioningsystem ofthe Project.

We are following the Kyoto protocol.

Environment Management Cell has beenformed and it is supervising and monitoring theenvironment related aspects of the project.

Environment Management Cell shall be formed duringoperation phase which will supervise and monitor theenvironment related aspects of the projects.

2. GENREAL CONDITONS:-

The environment safeguards including environmentalmanagement plan contained in the application of thepromoter/mentioned during the presentation beforestate level Environment impact Assessment Authority/state Expert Appraisal Committee should be

implemented in true letter and spirits.

We strictly adhere to the EnvironmentalManagement plan as submitted to theSEIAA/SEAC.

The entire cost of the environment management plan(i.e capital cost as well as recurring cost) will continueto be bome by the project proponent until theresponsibility of environmental management plan istransferred to be occupier/residents society under

Six monthly monitoring reports should be submitted tothe ministry of environment & Forests, New Delhi andits Northern Regional office, Chandigarh/ State LevelEnvironment imoact Assessment Authoritv/PPcB.

The Regional office of Ministry of Environment &Forests, Chandigarh/ State Level Environment ImpactAssessment Authority/ State Level Expert AppraisalCommittee/Punjab Pollution control Board who shouldbe monitoring the implementation of environmentalsafeguard should be given full cooperation facilitiesand documents / data by the project proponents duringtheir inspection. A Assessment Authority should beforwarded to the Regional Office of Ministry ofEnvironment & Forests. Chandisarh.

PACL Ltd. would be extend full co-operationto the Regional office of Miriistry ofEnvironment 8d Forests, Chandigarh/ StateLevel Environment Impact AssessmentAuthority/ State Level Expert AppraisalCommittee/ Punjab Pollution Control Boardwho would be monitoring the implementationof environmental safeguards.

In case ofany change(s) in the scope ofthe project, theproject would require a fresh appraisal by StateEnvironment Impact Assessment AuthoriThe State Environment Impact Assessment Authorityreserves the right to add additional safeguard measuresubsequently, if found necessary and to take actionincluding working of the environmental clearanceunder the provisions of the Environmental (Protection)Act 1986, to ensure effective implementation of thesuggested safeguard measures in a time bound andsatisfactorv manner.

6.All other statutory clearances such as the approvalsfrom Chief Controller of Explosives, Fire Department,Civil Aviation Departmeni, Forest (Conservation)Act,1980 and Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 etc. shallbe obtained, by project proponents form the competentauthorities including Punjab Pollution Control Boardand from other statutory bodies as applicable.

7.The project proponent should advertise in at least twolocal newspaper widely circulated in the region, one ofwhich shall be in the vernacular language informingthat the project has been accorded environmentalclearance letter are available with the State LevelEnvironment Impact Assessment Authority and mayalso be seen at the website of SEIAA(i.ewww.seiaapunjab.co. in). The advertisement shouldbe made within seven days from the day of issue of theclearance letter and copy of the same should beforwarded to Regional Office, Ministry ofEnvironment & Forests, Chandigarh and State LevelEnvironment & Forests, Chandigarh and State LevelEnvironment Impact Assessment Authoritv.

PACL Ltd. has already advertised in two localnewspapers widely circulated in the region,one of which was in the Punjabi languageinforming that the project has been accordedenvironmental clearance and copies ofclearance letters are available with the StateLevel Environment Impact AssessmentAuthority and may also be seen at the Websiteof SEIAA (i.e. www. seiaapunj ab.coin)

8.These stipulations would be enforced among othersunder the provision of water (Prevention & Control ofPollution) Act, 1986, the Public Liability (Insurance)AcL 1991 and EIA Notification,2006.

9.Environmental clearance is subject to final order of theHon'ble Supreme Court of India in the matter of GoaFoundation Vs. Union of India in Writ Petition (Civil)No. 460 of 2004 as may be applicable to this projectand any other decisions of the competent court, to theextent applicable.

10.Any appeal against this environmental clearance shalllie with the National Environment Appellate Authority,if prescribed period as per the provisions of theNational Environment Appellat e Act, 1997 .
