Background

The ARTE project (also financed by the Socrates ODL programme) aimed at promoting the use of ODL for teaching and learning European contemporary art

Some of the teachers involved expressed the willingness to experiment the use of new technologies in the art creation process.

Promote the use of new technologies in processes of artistic creation

Promote the knowledge of new art forms based upon the use of new technologies

Unexpected Results Use of the training project for the Italian teachers’ refresher course (Circolare Ministeriale N° 55 Corso di formazione B)

Admission of some students to prestigious art academies on merit of their participation in the project.

Improvement of the teachers’ knowledge and understanding of the English language.

Organization of one to one meetings and exchanges between the partner schools.

New “friendships” and collaborations.
