Our Chamber is the “Voice of Business,” dedicated not only to promoting and supporting business development, but also to representing our business community at local, state and federal levels. The Governmental Affairs Committee is the working group of this operation. This group keeps a watchful eye on the big picture when it comes to Louisiana politics and notifies the Chamber Board when a specific position needs to be taken. [ NORTHSHORE RISING PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE ]

One of our youngest committees, the NRP is in its fourth year with a mission to bring young professionals together to engage with one another and the business, political and community leadership in an effort to improve our community and provide a voice of young professionals. They boast over 50 active members and their goals include collaboration with other committees, providing social and networking opportunities, and increasing Chamber membership.

The committee is also committed to community service projects such as coordinating an annual Food Drive for the Covington Food Bank and volunteering at Rotary fundraisers.

With a planned launch in Spring of 2013, the St. Tammany West Chamber mobile app will allow smart phone users to access Chamber members from their phones. The free app for Apple and Android phones will feature a location-based search for Chamber members, access to coupons and deals, and ability to view Chamber events and news.
