New Year’s Message Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, First of all I wish you all a Happy New Year and many Blessings. New beginnings, fresh starts, reaffirmations of love and promises for a brighter future all come to mind as we enter in a New Year 2018. There are the superficial, yet purposeful, promises we make to ourselves. We resolve to get in shape, lose weight, improve career paths, and the like. Then, there are the heartfelt promises we make to others, whether aloud or in our minds. We want to care more, express love more, reverse bad feelings in old relationships or seek out new loving relationships. We try our very best to put these desires into words. Though New Years can be a time of celebration and cheer, there are many people who are facing difficult circumstances. They may be entering this time of year with apprehension or anxiety. If that is the case for anyone in your circle of friends or family, you can reach out and be an encouragement by wishing them the best for the upcoming year. The New Year and a fresh beginning is not only for you as an individual alone but it is a new beginning as a family. Can you also make a resolution as a family and as parish family to “Grow in Faith” by remembering that A Family Prays Together and Stays Together? Mensaje de Año Nuevo Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo, Les deseo un Feliz Año Nuevo y muchas bendiciones. Nuevos comienzos, empezar de nuevo, reafirmaciones de amor y promesas para un mejor futuro todo esto se nos viene a la mente al empezar el Año Nuevo 2018. Hay promesas superficiales, pero con un buen propósito que hacemos. Resoluciones como por ejemplo, perder peso, hacer ejercicio, mejorar nuestras carreras, etcétera. Y luego están las promesas del corazón que le hacemos a los demás, ya sea en voz alta o en nuestras mentes. Queremos expresar mejor nuestro amor, cuidar mejor de nuestros seres queridos, olvidar malos sentimientos, o buscar nuevas relaciones amorosas. Hacemos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para expresar estos deseos con palabras. Aunque el Año Nuevo puede ser un tiempo de celebración y alegría, hay mucha gente que está enfrentando difíciles circunstancias. Puede ser que estén entrando a este Año Nuevo con aprehensión y ansiedad. Si ese es el caso para alguien en su circulo de amistades o familiar, ustedes pueden extenderles la mano y alentarnos deseándoles lo mejor para este Año Nuevo. El Año Nuevo, y un nuevo comienzo no es solo para ustedes individualmente, también es un nuevo comienzo como familia. ¿Pueden hacer una resolución como familia y como familia parroquial de “Crecer en Fe” recordando que la Familia que Reza Unida Permanece Unida?
