Reading Workshop:-Reading Strategy Skippy Frog-Decoding Strategy review and assessment

Writing Workshop/Word Study:-category sorts-What does quality writing include?-Capitals and Punctuation

Math Workshop:-missing addend problems (ex. 4+___=6, 8=7+____)-fact families-Prodigy

If you are looking for something to practice at home:-Practice counting by 5’s, 2’s and 10’s around the dinner table up to 100. State a random number and ask students what number comes 1 or 2 before or after. Practice counting backwards from 20. -Prodigy-Give them 3 numbers in a fact family and see if they can generate the 4 equations in that fact family. (example: 3, 4, 7: 3+4=7, 4+3=7, 7-4=3, 7-3=4)

Content : -Zones-Kindness tasks-Introduction to our study of the sun. Students will learn how the sun is our main source of energy by providing light and heat. Here is a link to a short video we watched this week. Sun Video
