5. a) The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 9. Also, nine times this numberis twice the number obtained by reversing the order of the digits. Find the number.

b) Meena went to a bank to withdraw Rs. 2000. She asked the cashier to give her Rs. 50 & Rs. 100 notes only Meena got 25 notes in all. Find how many notes of Rs. 50 & Rs. 100 she received.

c) 10 students of class VIII took part in mathematics quiz. If the number of girls is 4 more than boys, find the number of boys and girls who took part in the quiz.

d) Four consecutive integers add up to 26. What are the integers?

e) Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden, whose length is 4m. more than the breadth is 36m . Find the dimensions of the garden.

ACTIVITIES:

1. Make a cross-word puzzle using the terms from the unit Rational Numbers( for example, additive inverse, commutative , multiplicative inverse etc.)

2. Verify that the sum of four angles of a quadrilateral is 360 by drawing any convex quadrilateral. Using glazed papers cut out a pair of each angles. Paste one in the figure and arrange the other four to form 360.

3. Verify that the sum of the exterior angles of any polygon is 360.
