•After you have done D.R.A.B.

•Kneel beside casualty

•Place the arm closest to you at a right angle to their head, palm facing up

•Bring other arm across body and place back of hand onto their cheek

•Bend casualty’s outside leg at the knee ready to roll their body towards you

•Grip under their knee and gently roll casualty towards you onto their side, keeping their leg bent to rest their weight on

•Rest their head on their hands, tilting it back with mouth open in case casualty vomits

•Keep them warm and reassure them if they become conscious

CPRCARDIO

PULMONARY

RESUCITATION

•Kneel beside casualty

•Place one hand over the other into a fist

•Place palms in the middle of the breastbone

•Keeping arms straight, push from the shoulders

•Begin compressions, keeping the same rhythm, pushing down firmly

•After 30 compressions give 2 rescue breaths to inflate the lungs

•Watch carefully for casualty’s chest to rise

•Continue to do this until more help arrives

IF A CASUALTY IS BLEEDING…

Reassure the casualty; calm them down

DON’T remove any object from the cut (it may make the cut bleed out)

With a clean cloth apply gentle direct pressure to close the cut area

Elevate the wound, or lower the casualty to the floor(so the heart doesn’t have to keep working so hard)

Keep the casualty warm and alert
