Buoyancy
Buoyancy is the upward force of a fluid on an object less dense than itself. That is, the overall density of the object must be less than the density of the fluid
What is buoyancy?
When the force of gravity on an object is greater than the force of buoyancy of the fluid, the object will sink/fall, or have a negative buoyancy.
Negative Buoyancy
When the force of gravity on an object is less than the force of buoyancy of the fluid, the object will float/rise, or have a positive buoyancy.
Positive Buoyancy
When the force of gravity on an object is equal to the force of buoyancy of the fluid, the object will float/hover, or have a neutral buoyancy.
Neutral Buoyancy
Explain in the space provided how a hot air balloon is able to fly?
How does this work?
